Nothing fancy, great for families
Pros: great complimentary breakfast and nightly happy hour between 530-730, nicely sized rooms, location near many nice restaurants, clean. Cons: When I visited, there were a lot of kids running around. Rooms could use a little updating, $20 parking

disapointing
last time there bathtub backups, this time again same thing. Charge for handicapp parking $20.00 very unreasonable, especially when open parking on property

GReat Stay
Had an overall wonderful stay...enjoyed breakfast, happy hour, sauna, hot tub, and excerise room!!! Very Clean room. No Night Life...On-site resturant good and PF Chang right within walking distance was an added plus...but the bonus was the shopping center practically across the street. Paying for parking wasn't outrageous although I have stayed at other Embassy Suites with no charge...Would definitely stay again and recommend as a place to stay

Wonderfully accommodating
The staff was wonderful. My husband broke his leg the day we were to leave home, the hotel changed our reservation to accommodate us & gave us reserved parking right by the front door. Our hotel stay was very relaxing, just what we needed.

Nice but crowded
Beautifully appointed rooms. The electricity did not charge my cell phone for 2 hours so be aware they may have just a trickle. The location is nice. Parking is expensive $20 per night and is not in the most scenic area. Mostly near banks and businesses. The pool area was screaming with kids but the jacuzzi was nice. The breakfast buffet is rather chaotic and people seem to get this rushed feeling of taking as much as they can carry for free. This is not the hotels fault but just that certain family mentality of free stuff is good stuff. The rooms were quiet enough but if using the front room, you'll hear tons of running around from the kiddies. There are 3 elevators and I found it easier to walk down the stairs instead of waiting forever. But a note, the Southwest stairwell prohibits you from exiting without an alarm, and the NorthEast stairwell leads you out into the back of the outside of the hotel so you have to walk around to get back in. The yelling parents at the early morning breakfast was annoying but alas, I suppose the Embassy suits is for business during the week and new families on the weekends. But please, parents, screaming Parker! Parker! Parker!!!* (*not child's real name) throughout resonates quite loudly as it is an atrium hotel and you can hear it 7 floors up! As a result, the clientele of the hotel were the biggest issue for me. I'm certain I would love this place on a weekday but like most people, can't get away during the week. Woe is me.

Time-saving tip:
In Hotel
For breakfast on the weekend, notably Sunday, you'll find the omelette line too long and very stressful, they offer a buffet around the corner of the bar with eggs and bacon, sausage and pancakes. Try this if you don't enjoy waiting.

Wonderful Family getaway!
We had a wonderful time staying here. We enjoyed a great Manager Happy hour and then had some great food in the resturant. We played in the pool and enjoyed sitting in the warm outdoor La Jolla air (it was a warm weekend). The breakfast was terefic and we didn't need to eat the rest of the day! The room was nice and spacious and we enjoyed watching Late ight movies after the kids went to sleep in the other room. This was a great place to stay!
