Centrally located for easy access to fun

Check in to the hotel was quick and painless. They gave us the choice of 2nd or 3rd floor and recommended 3rd floor to avoid ... noise from upper floors. Every time we went to the lobby, the person at the desk was very nice and willing to help us without delay, including getting us discounted tickets to some of the area's attractions. Parking was adequate, most of the time we were able to park within a few feet of the stairs leading to our room. The stairs seemed a little tilted going from the second to third floors, and made it feel a little unsafe, but not terribly bad. The floor in the room was also slightly tilted, causing the doors on the TV stand to swing closed if a chair wasn't put in place to hold them shut. Nothing a shim or two couldn't fix, and it wasn't an issue once we realized what we needed to do to fix the problem. The location was excellent. It was about a 5 minute drive in either direction to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, with easy freeway access. The hotel restaurant was nothing stellar, but satisfied our hunger after arriving in the late evening. There are also quite a few fast food restaurants a short drive away for late night snacking.

Even the trip to Coronado Island did not take more than 15 minutes! Service was incredible and clearly above the motel level. 10 minutes after getting to our room, we received the call if the room was to our expectations and to let them know if we want to switch anytime. Staff was very responsive to any questions and really helpful.Some people complained about "motel feeling" with the rooms entrances facing the outside of the building and the balcony. There is a solution for that. Ask for the last building, by the swimming pool, with the doors to the rooms from the internal hallway. The building is the quietest one and newly renovated.Free shuttles would be likely a major bonus in the season but we used our car - close to everywhere and easy to park out off season and on week days. Overall, very positive experience. We will surely stay there again! Surely "five stars" within its class.

Clean, neat. Allowed us to check in early as we arrived in San Diego in the AM. That way we were able to go on about our ... business and not have to stop later in the day to go check in. Loved the Pam Pam restaurant. Great food and good prices. Have stayed here several times and always enjoy our visit. Price is right too.

Reasonable price, great location. Breakfast was great at the hotel and the staff were so friendly and helpful with ... directions. Visited Old Town, Seaworld and the Hotel Del Coronado before we went on a Panama Canal cruise. We brought along another couple and they were pleased as well.

The hotel was great expecially the mattress and pillows. We all had great night sleeps. The only diappointing thing was that ... the shuttle to the Marine base was only at 6:30 and 7:00 in the morning it would have been nice to have a few between 8-10 in the morning. Other wise it was a great stay

There were more amenities in the room than expected which was great! The location for our touring plans couldn't have been ... better!! The room was a little small but comfortable and the service was really quite good. Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay there.

Cabs are cheap to get to all the close by attractions. $20 or so. Driving was also easy as all our destinations were right off the freeways.

The hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport and local attractions- I was even able to take the shuttle to Old Town where ... I attended church. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and newly updated. Close walk to conference center at the Town and Country.

The Fashion Valley Mall was a short walk where I found many less expensive eating options. It is a beautiful mall with so many shops-a great shopping experience too.

Can't beat the price for the location and service. Free shuttle from airport and to cruise ship as well as to sights in San ... Diego. Small intimate restaurant had very good and reasonably priced food. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would absolutely stay here again.

Not a bad hotel for the location, if I stay at this hotel in the future I will make sure that I get a third floor room, the ... people in the room above me started stomping around the room at 5 am every day. The noise issue was not a fault of the hotel so I can't really find fault with the hotel. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant, not a bed hotel for the location.

Shopping, golf and great restaurants are a short walk away. A convenience store is also a very short walk away. There is a hotel shuttle to and from the airport and a public shuttle a short walk away that can take you to many local attractions and or as a link to other public transporation to take you all over

PAM PAM GRILL IS NASTY: I can eat anything, and I woudn't eat their food! Even the shuttle guys mentioned their restaurant as an AFTER-THOUGHT.

If you plan to go to the MCRC, they will let you in at gate 4, even though the pamphlet says you may only use gate 5 and you will avoid the long lines and luggage inspection. The guard suggested it and we went there several times without any problems.
