Days Hotel - Hotel Circle

We got there around 4:30pm. They open at 4:00pm for check-in. I asked him to get a king bed. but he just said, we don't have king bed room. You have to get 2 double bed room. He didn't excuse us. Room was smaller than pictures on the web site. We turned on the heater at night. The odor from heater was enough to knock us out. Room wasn't properly soundproofed, so we heard everything that goes on upstair and next to the laundry at midnight. We couldn't sleep. It was so loud. The rest room had sliding door. It was inconvenience. I never want to stay there again.

DO NOT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS OR THE PICTURES!!! This place is a nightmare! I don't care how cheap it is, it's not worth it. [...]I had to pay again when I got there, the room stunk horribly like urine and the carpet felt moist! I should have slept in the car because I didn't dare use their blankets or pillows!

the hotel was old and smelled like it, the parking lot entrance was small coming off a main road. The hotel resturant closes early @ 9PM. There was no entertainment that wasnt for a fee. IE all TV channels were for a purchase, nothing was free while in the room..

Room smelt musty and moldy. Our shower didn't drain so we had to stand in the water as we showered. And to top off the "adventure", when we removed our top spread from the bed, there was a live roach moving around. Of course I notified the front desk and their reply was nothing short of a sorry and the look that they already knew about the infestation. Gross. I will now move up my star search to NOTHING under four stars. Thanks for the horrible experience and I do not reccomend this hotel to anyone!

My family and I were excited to get away for the weekend to San Diego and chose the Days Hotel because we got a great deal on Orbitz. We researched other hotels in the area but they were way too expensive for our budget. Upon arrival we knew we were in trouble just from how it looked on the outside. At check in the gentleman was fairly nice, but all of our other encounters with the staff at the front desk (all women) were not so pleasant, they bordered on rude, had no customer service and frankly showed me that they didn't like their job and didn't want to be there. When we got up to our rooms we booked two rooms they each smelled like urine and were very out of date. I really didn't want to touch anything, especially traveling with an infant (luckily we brought extra blankets for her). My mom and I even considered finding a different hotel even if we had to pay more to stay there (but we didn't in the end). We did everything we could the next day so we didn't have to stay in teh room too much, because of how much it smelled and just seemed dirty. We couldn't even ask for another room because they said they were all booked. Bottom line we all couldn't wait to get home to shower in our own bathrooms because of how dirty we felt at that hotel. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

In general, facilities and room cleanlinees are ok, I'm not that picky. The location was the best I could say of the hotel. The worst, no doubts about it, is the staff. Not friendly at all! First they lied when I called asking if breakfast was including with the rate. Second, they dropped us in Sea World and when we went back to the pick up point later to return to the hotel, they left us behind. When I called to the hotel they pretty much yelled at me for not being there 10 minutes earlier the agreed pick up time!!. Of course they didn't come back. Id absolutely stay away from this hotel

I'll start by saying I NEVER write reviews - that's how terrible this experience was. The motel itself is overall disappointing (my room was way in the back of a parking lot- and in all honesty I didn't feel tremendously safe hiking over there at night)- the carpet/tv etc was "fine"- and I wasn't really expecting much. This review is because this was literally the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I was traveling for an interview at UCSD- and they have a shuttle that goes up the hill. When I asked the front desk about it- they replied that I could just call 15 minutes before and that would be adequate. I called them at 7am on a Saturday (presumably a time when the shuttle wasn't probably too busy)- it was POURING rain - and I just called to "inquire" if there were anyway that the shuttle could come around to the back- about 100 feet. Given my suit + suitcase etc it would have made a big difference for me given the rain. The first guy told me he would check and I should call back in 5 minutes. When I called back- the lady on the phone told me "she didn't see how it could work"- but when prompted she agreed to just ask- because it was POURING- and I don't see how it made much difference at all for the shuttle driver (literally on the way out of the parking lot)-- especially given that they had said I was the only passenger so far. Then some other lady- named "Joy" came on the phone and asked "what my problem was" and was basically ridiculously edgy/curt and sarcastic-- and informed me that now the shuttle DID have other people to take and it needed to leave immediately. I replied that I would run over there that second- and although she said "ok"- when I got there (soaking wet)- the shuttle had just left. Furthermore Joy and the other lady told me to be "patient" (also in a condescending tone) while I was waiting there soaking wet for a shuttle I had called about 30 minutes before. Like I said- I've never been motivated to write a complaint- I think it's ok to ask for something that would make a big difference in pouring rain- but I didn't act insulting about the question-- and I felt they went out of their way to be difficult and insulting. Another person interviewing with me had a similar experience with them trying to arrange the shuttle. Anyway- they are grouped with at least 10 other cheap hotels- their price I'm sure is not so much cheaper to warrant this degree of poor service. I would definitely look at any of the other motels in the vicinity- because although you might not expect much from a motel like this-- it's reasonable to expect them to at least try to be nice (or have some BASIC service skills).

I found the reviews on here to be a lie and mis-leading. I never put down establishments and I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I was forced however on this trip to relocate to a cleaner hotel and recommend no one to stay here! To sum it up I paid $700 roundtrip to stay a week in San Diego I found mold on the ceiling of my hotel room ( the smell was immense) the door hinges were wrecked and the moisture in the room was obivous to be the cause of the mold. When I woke up to a box of lube, toys and dvd's outside my door I decided it was time to go! When I spoke to the hotel staff they said I could not be refunded and there was no manager on staff that day to talk to. I left my information, no one has yet to call. I went to San Diego for a week and payed $1200 in hotel fees. I would have rather went to Hawaii.

It was very noisy, the room was to close to the freeway and the people next door were just out of control all night long fighting and being loud.
