The hotel was in an ideal location. The room itself was small but had all the essentials. The biggest negative of the room was the smell. It's hard to describe the smell, but all I can say is that it wasn't a pleasant one. It took some time to get used to. Not worth the price!

A little noisy in the night, especially in the side close by the road.

Location is great for the Zoo and Animal Park. Sea World is pretty close also. I was disappointed because I read the reviews and thought this was a nicer place. I would not have gone there had I known it was a motel but once I booked, it was non-refundable. On the upside, parking was free, wi-fi was free and typically slow, and there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. VERY noisy junky window unit A/C barely worked and elevator was a little scary. Overall, it worked out fine, but I won't stay there again. I can't beleive the overall rating is over 3. This is NOT a 3 star hotel by any means.

Even though the room was pr-paid, they required either a credit card or a $50.00 cash deposit. When I asked why, I was told it's company policy. When I inquired further, the "Manager" told me that I might walk out without their TV and getting my CC would prevent that. By the way, the TV was from the year of the flood with a lousy picture and very few channel selections.

The beds were uncomfortable and the amenities were nothing special. The people working there were not that helpful or friendly. The location was great and the pool and hot tub were good.

While the hotel was adequate and clean, the Internet service was unusable for several hours out of the day, every day, due to over-subscription. For the business-traveler depending on reliable Internet access at all hours, stay clear of this hotel. Also, those without rolling luggage also might want to avoid this hotel as the elevators are rather small and not well-placed within the hotel footprint to avoid long, burdensome walks during check-in/check-out.

I booked this hotel thinking it is a three-star hotel, but the hotel is just slightly better than a motel. The layout is similar to a regular motel and the rooms are small. Two things that I do not like. First, the room has a strong smell to it in the first day of my stay. This may be common to quite a number of units, as I see all the first floor doors fully open to ventilate the empty rooms. Second, the floor shakes quite noticeably if there are people running around the outside corridor, or a heavy vehicle passes close by. The rooms themselves are furnished to the standard of probably a two-star hotel. But the painting on the wall makes it cheap-looking. There is a small fridge and a microwave in room, which can be convenient. Also there is a safe in room to lock anything valuable. Beds are clean overall, but the chairs have obvious stains on them. TV is old-style. The shuttle service is a plus. But shuttle to seaworld and zoo only runs for two trips in the morning and two trips in the afternoon. They don't provide shuttle service by phone call. If you don't need shuttle service, there are better hotels at this price, or cheaper hotels with similar quality.

The hotel is in a great location, it was no more than a 10 minute drive to the zoo and Sea World. The room was clean and had a small refrigerator and micro, which was handy for our leftover dinner. Our only complaint was how loud it was, you could hear the people talking in the room next to you and we were on the bottom floor and heard everyone talking and standing around smoking outside our room at all hours of the night, so we didn't get much sleep until after 3:00 am when everyone went to bed and then the kids in the room next door started talking and laughing and they might as well of been in our room and that was each morning about 6:00 am.. if you stay here, stay on the 3rd floor, this would help keep the noise down.
