Not worth price
This is not a place to go if you are expecting service (other than housekeeping) or a quiet experience. I had the STAFF outside my door as late as Midnight cussing, yelling, or talking. There were many families with no control of their kids and no help from the hotel. The pool is tiny. The picture online is very deceptive. There are many areas that are unsafe and poorly lit (especially the pool and soda machines). The staff is rude and short with customers. And, the outside of the hotel is run down and looks like what you would expect from a hotel that houses prostitutes and drug dealers. However, housekeeping did an excellent job. They are very kind and efficient. I would often come to my room for lunch and it was very clean and neat. They were second to none!

shuttle service
advertised free shuttle service dont bother to mention it ends at 10 so you end up spending $22 for taxi to get to hotel from airport[...]

Not Impressed with Service or Quality
I was traveling with friends, and we were all from out of town. I flew in from Boston, but I'd left my drivers license at home. The identification I had on me (Social Security Card, College Photo ID, and the credit card that pre-paid for the rooms) was sufficient for the TSA but NOT sufficient for the Manager at the Days Inn. [...] I was NOT pleased with their service.

quick stay
The hotel is close to UCSD medical center and the naval medical center, but in general may be a little more run down than most business travelers are used to. I wasn't expecting the Westin, but I've stayed in a lot nicer Holiday Inns lately. Bottom line: cheap hotel that feels cheap.

very bad stay
My stay was for 1 night. We were attending the OBD Lowrider show. But got very little rest due to this hotel being very noisy, people hanging out in the corridor drinking and being loud. We stayed in the 2nd floor, and the people that were above us were making sooo much noise and walking around until 4am which was the time I just got up and took a shower, because I knew I wasn't getting any sleep. please also advise people that this hotel puts a funds hold on your credit card, for damage or phone calls etc.
