could be better

Arrived and was immediately told there was a $7.00 per night parking fee. Guy at the front desk gave me my room in an older portion of the hotel, right next to a major exit door that slammed all night. The room was cramped and had to walk by the bed to get to the sitting room. The coffee pot was only half there so no moring coffee. Will not repeat.

pretty decent.

Check in was interesting... 11 am, and the lady at the counter took twenty minutes to get the job done. Had to pay for parking, but it was cheaper than most other places in the area. Room was clean, a lil cramped but comfortable. Bed was comfy. All in all, no complaints for a value priced hotel.

The good and Bad

Well lets start with the good. The actual hotel property and location was absolutely beautiful. The bad was their management there was terrible. It took 4 days of me going down to the front desk and asking for my room to be cleaned before they did it on their own. We always had to wait for clean towels sometimes until 10pm before they came. Their Breakfast was very poorly managed and was always out of food, they only had one toater for the whole hotel to use and it was only working by half. there were only 2 waffle makers so the lines were ridiculous to try and get something to eat. They also had no information in the room on who to call for what and what was in the area for eating or anything.

Icky!

We were very disappointed in this hotel. It was not maintained and the housekeeping was poor. Towels were not replaced in the rooms, glasses were not replaced, and it barely looked like they even cleaned. The sheets were suppose to be changed every two days and we had stayed there four nights, and they had not yet been changed. The hot tub was not hot. One day we got on the elevator and there was a disgusting vacum cleaner laying on the floor - and noone in the elevator with it. I would not recommend these accomodations.

Cheap price for San Diego, BUT!!!

Cheap price for San Diego, but I got what I paid for. The room was significantly smaller than shown on the photos, room amenities are still in the 80's, iron stained my shirt, mattress had a big dip in the center which caused my back to be sore in the morning. If you don't mind all those things, you will enjoy this hotel.

Mini Sea World Vacation!

It was a nice quiet place to rest. Although the rooms are small, we had a great time. My family and I had a wonderful time at Sea World, which is only a few miles away. There are many shopping areas near by and Dennys is within walking distance. Overall great choice.

Comfort Suites - Mission Valley

We arrived in San Diego three days before we were due to depart on a cruise. I had never been to San Diego before and looked forward to experiencing the city before we began our cruise. The location of the hotel was convenient to many of the activities and was very close to a shopping and restaurants. We found the room's temperature to be too warm and were not able to cool it down. We found the fresh air outside was cooler than the air conditioned room (we were there in December - the high temperatures were only in the 60's). Further, we were close to the swimming pool which attracted a lot of noisey children and teens. In fact, we found teenagers sneaking into the back door of the facility so that they could use the pool. It was generally a party atmosphere each night. The room was a bit outdated, but it was acceptable. The pictures were very deceiving and in reality the rooms (we had a suite) were very small. It was, however, nice to have a separate sitting area with a couch and t.v. The free breakfast was a pleasant surprise. We anticipated a continental breakfast, but they also included sausages and hot rolls, as well as waffles, fruit, cereal, etc. The room rate was reasonable as well. All in all, it was a good experience.

Great getaway

Our purpose was to have a quiet place to stay and still visit family...while waiting on our newest grandson to be born. We were close to the hospital and able to enjoy a relaxing two week stay in a very spacious room. The staff were very nice and the breakfast and coffee were wonderful!!! Better than home!

Loud and rude

[...] There is no business room and parking costs you $7 a day. Waiting time in the breakfast buffets can be long. Location is excellent.
