Loved it for the price!
Stood for the weekend with my boyfriend and we both thought that it was great. Clean and quiet even though it was right off of the freeway. Didn't wake up early enough for the free breakfast so I can't comment much on that BUT I heard they don't have bacon (I know, right!) Super friendly staff, hallways smelled like lemons, free coffee anytime of the day or night, wifi was a little troublesome, tried some of the recommended restaurants off of the list they give you (they were pretty good!) Overall awesome stay. I would DEFINITELY stay here again if I were going to San Diego in the future.

This place isn't next to anything but a bunch of other hotels. If you want something like food, toiletries, liquor, etc to have later in your room or whatever, you'll want to pick that up on the way there. If not, you'll have a bit of a drive to go find that stuff later, it wont be a quick trip out cause there's nothing nearby.

Great Hotel great value
The hotel was pleasant. The staff were the best; whatever a guest needed it was provided. The breakfast was not gourmet; however, I did not hear anyone complaining. The guests were friendly and traveled from all over the world; Australia, Great Britain as well as Scotland, and Germany to visit San Diego. San Diego is beautiful.

Family Vacation
It is a newly renovated hotel. We were greeted warmly and check in was very easy. After we got to the room they called us to make sure everything was ok. The pull out couch was not so comfortable, but the beds were very comfortable! They offered a free continental breakfast and it was GREAT! The hotel is located in an easy location and we were able to access restaurants, the beach and Sea World very easy. Hot Coffee and tea were available fresh in the lobby all day. The pool was a bit chilly but the kids still enjoyed it. The jacuzzi was great. We didnt have enough towels so they brought us more right away. The staff was very prompt to any requests. It was a great price for our stay! I would suggest that they redo thier elevator..it is very very slow, heat thier pool to the temp that they advertise and clear up the static on the television.

Great Stay!
This was a great hotel to stay at! All the rooms were recently renovated so it felt brand new. It was a really great place to stay especailly for the price!! The lobby was new as well and they had a pool. It was a great location as long as you have a car. We took a cab a couple of nights downtown and it was about $15 one way. I went with my boyfriend for the week and we loved it. We stayed in a Comfort Inn in L.A. for one night that we didn't like as much because it was a dated decor and it motel like in nature and we couldn't wait to get back to this hotel. The only drawbacks were 1. the hair dryer is attached to the wall and for girls with long hair - it takes forever to dry your hair but is functional enough, 2. you have to pay close to 8 bucks a night for parking if you have your car, 3. the lobby didn't have a bar or restaurant if you wanted a quick bite to eat (although there was a restaurant next door), 4. and the cab ride was a little expensive but it was pretty easy to get downtown and to the other attractions. But none of these would keep me from staying here again. The free breakfast with waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins, toast, coffee, OJ, etc was nice to have too but DO get their before 8 am because it does get busy if you want a waffle. We just grabbed our food and brought it back to our room to eat. So it was nice. Overall, it was a great stay. I really loved that the rooms were renovated and clean. No bed bugs and the cleanning lady did a great job everytime. It was close to alot of the things we wanted to see. I can't wait to go back again!! I would definitely stay again!

Old Town is literally so close to the hotel and has a bunch of restaurants (mostly Mexican). Right next to the hotel there was a steak house (but we didn't go). And downtown is about a 10 min drive and there are TONS of restaurants to try out but you have to pay for parking unless you find street parking.

Good location,Nothing Fancy
Easy to get to the zoo and sea world from this hotel. Location was great. Nothing fancy, breakfast was crowded all the time and pretty mediocre, but it worked for us.

Nice Hotel in Perfect Location
We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel because we were off doing things around San Diego. The hotel was very clean and was recently remodeled, so everything was new and nice. The staff was friendly and the pool/hottub was nice. The location of the hotel was the best because it was central to many locations around town (Pacific Beach, La Jolla, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Old Town, Downtown, and the Airport were all within a 10-15 minute drive). This was not a 5-star hotel by any means, but the value was extremely good for the price of a room.

If you like Mexican food, Casa Guadalajara in Old Town is a must. It is less than a mile from the hotel and was one of the best Mexican meals I have ever had.

Good Bang for Your Buck!
The hotel was very close to the freeway which we found convenient.Breakfast Buffet was also a plus! Good variety of food for the whole family.The rooms were nice and the pullout sofabed a plus!

Nice Hotel - Clean and Modern
Pros: Newish furniture, carpet, and bathroom fixtures Flat screen TV Free Wi-Fi that worked well in the room Free breakfast with decent selections Cons: No HD channels for flat screen TV Parking was $7.95 a day and the lot was VERY tight Could hear when room above flushed toilet
