My stay.

I'm handicapped. Even though I was told when checking to make sure I would have handicap assessibility. There was a Regular bathtub in the room and was told they only had one room with walk in or wheel chair access when I checked in .that room was occupied. The rooms are serviced only once a week. Guest have to go to front desk for clean towels. Take out your own trash If I wanted to do those things I could have stay home. Due to having to struggle to get into a bath tub I left the hotel with a painful back and having to take a bath elsewhere. .not a great experience.

Hamish AFCEA Exhibition Trip

I only used it for sleeping and working on the internet, but the receptionist was helpful with restaurant suggestions and the access to down town and the convention center was quick and easy on the 163 highway.

awful awful awful

It started with finding out it was being changed to a Candlewood Hotel on June 18th so no sign even out for Hawthorne. First suite one toilet flooded bathroomn and wouldn't stop running as soon as got in room-had to c hange to another room. If we could have found other hotel with suite we would have left. Construction work all over the place-hazzard to children we had with us-we were only guests on entire 3rd floor due to this. We had to eat out every breakfast as had temp breakfast in tiny little 2nd floor room with all the workers in there taking up all the room and just muffins and bagels out and not clean looking so we couldn't eat there. Workers stayed on working until dark with lots of noise. Elevators couldn't be used as had out of order signs due to constructions stuff in them. Then no one from staff EVER apologized for any of this or offered less fee, We can't believe we were not advised of any of this-simply awful! Nails all over the place, saws, hammers, yada yada-would have been a good Seinfield eposode it was so pathetic.

Reasonable

Hotel is in serious need of updating. Stains on carpet, dreary looking but staff very nice and it is in a great location. Priced appropriately. Breakfast just OK

Would not return

We stayed here last Saturday night. We had to wait to book our room until just one day in advance and could not find any 3 or 4 star hotels nearby Sea World that had more than just one bed. We settled for a one bedroom suite here. The furniture inside this motel is very outdated and aged, but that was no surprise. The shower was absolutely terrible. No water pressure whatsoever. Just a little dribble, and it was difficult to rinse the shampoo out of my kids' hair. On the plus side, it is a quiet place and the continental breakfast is nice. However, because of the water pressure issue, I would not suggest this place to a friend.

Good Hotel

This hotel is all suites and the room was great. We had a bedroom with TV, a good-sized bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen (with all utensils and cookware) and the living room area with sofa, easy chairs, desk and chairs and another larger TV. On top of this, a complimentary hot breakfast, juices, coffee, tea, etc. is available to all guests just off the lobby. It was clean, fresh, newer looking and the staff was friendly.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Plenty of dining opportunities in the area, some a short walk, but many other restaurants and shopping a five-minute or less drive away. This hotel is located on Hotel Circle and it is conveniently located to many features in the city.

Convenient Location

This location was close to family and friends The Desk staff are helpful - let us check in early. The room was OK the kitchen adequate but the heating was inadequate for the cold week we spent in San Diego. The heater on high couldn't keep the main room warm, and the heat never got to the bathroom. The clothes closet was in the other end of this rectangular unit and inconvenient. The continental breakfast was the same every day and needed more fresh fruit choices.

Just Like Home!

Wow, what an enjoyable stay and the location was great! We were in San Diego for a wedding and our families all stayed down town. They were all very disappointed with their hotels because they said it was very noisy due to the train and lots of traffic. Us on the other hand had very restful and quite evenings.
