stay away from this hotel
The owner will charge you for the energy. When I disagreed with the charge, he did closed the door and asked me to come back when I am done discussing with or bitz, the site that I booked from.

QUALITY SERVICE; WE WILL BE BACK!
I wasnt sure what to expect as there were a few negative reviews, but i found the staff very friendly. we arrived late and dan, the manager, stayed up to welcome us in and was most welcoming after a horribly long bus trip! he made us feel at home immiedately, and was a wealth of knowledge of the area - as was his daughter, who was manning the office in the morning. this family run business has the personal touch - and well priced too. sure, it doesnt have hair dryers etc, and has some old furnishings, but a bargain for the price as well clean and comfy, not to mention the hospitaliy, which goes a long way! It was like a home away from home, we will be back! great location to get to see everything! the best hotel i have stayed i out of the last four i have been in! - Deborah

Decent for the price, nothing special. kind of dissappointing that there was no in-room coffee makers. some of the tiles in the bathroom floor were loose. otherwise fine just to pass out in.

Love is all you need
Never Again.
Ripped screens, burned carpet stains, ended up paying close to $80 dollars (was it not prepaid at $59?), rude staff (made an off comment about my wife), AC Unit did not work unless you kept the window open (lets in flies through the ripped screen), and the parking is horribly cramped the smallest parking spaces I have ever seen. Somewhat close to the beach. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The hotel is in desperate need of repair and need an overdue renovation . The garage is a 6 car garage if you can park without damaging your car or someone else damaging your car. I stayed a second night outside of the initial booking and was taken full advantage of and what was a $40 room cost me well over $100 on the second night I am sorry but this place is a dump. The uninvited guests (cock roaches) were not at all pleasant too find either but not at all surprising so I slept above the sheets and with my clothes on.

Severely Lacking in Basic Amenities and Breakfast
This hotel was a major disappointment. It claimed that it was recently renovated, but it seemed run-down and old. The concrete at the top of the stairs was crumbling and the wallpaper was peeling in the room. Cons: – no alarm clock in room! – no hairdryer in room! – very small soap bars and no conditioner – funny smell in the room like smoke had been covered up – no “Do Not Disturb” placards for the door – covered parking is under the building and extremely cramped; compact cars only with limited spaces available – it took three rings of the doorbell to get someone to come to the front desk even though the manager lives in an apartment behind the front desk – the paperwork to fill out with ID information must be from the 80s I chose this hotel over another because it said it had “free continental breakfast.” Buyer beware! This consists of a coffeepot (only regular, no decaf) and one tray of square, store-bought pastries (all the same kind). I was very disappointed and had to go out to eat every morning, exactly what I was trying to avoid. I do not recommend this hotel – stay at one of the many other ones in San Diego and get a better value with the amenities standard in a hotel (alarm clock, hairdryer, etc.).

Great Location!!
This hotel overall is good. There was a litte inconvenience with the shower but nothing to ruin my staying there or give them a bad review. This hotel is in a great location since it was 15 to 20 minutes away from old town SD, the harbor and others. My staying here was great..will definately go back
