Convenient location, near the airport and good access to all directions. Easy walking to yacht harbor and multiple restaurant choices. Not a luxury hotel but it is clean and it worked for me.

Great for my business stay!
Very functional rooms, clean, excellent housekeeping service----they cleaned what I wanted cleaned and left my personal belongings alone. They even added an extra blanket on the bed when the temperatures got unusually cold at night. The breakfast was GREAT and I loved having hot chocolate available at the coffee bar 24 hours a day. The location is central to everything in San Diego and only minutes from the airport. I will definitely stay there when I return to San Diego!

Short drive from hotel
The Mormon Battalion Visitors Center in Old San Diego was wonderful! Harry Potter like video portraits teach history from the perspective of those who were there. Kids can pan for gold, receive a complimentary picture of them as honorary Battalion members, and climb the tower for breathtaking views of the city! All for no charge! The guides at the center are wonderful! This is not to be missed!

Business trip
The hotel is really close to the airport. The hotel was quiet, I liked that they did not accept pets. I have allergies and it is hard to find a hotel that does not take pets. The beds were not very comfortable and the room was small, the furniture was clean but old. It was fine for a business trip, there was a very nice fitness center, a small outdoor pool and a continental breakfast from 6 am until 9 am and plenty of parking all were free. It was an OK hotel.

An Excellent Place to Stay
I recently stayed at the Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel for a work conference, and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is a short drive from the San Diego International Airport. It is also across the street from a few restaurants, and only minutes away from Sea World. Check-in was painless, and the front desk help was courteous. When I first walked into my room, it had an overwhelming bleach smell. I was a little disconcerted, but at least I knew they cleaned the room. I opened the sliding glass door to air the room out, and after a few hours of fresh air circulating around, the bleach smell cleared out. The views from the balcony were awesome. You could see the harbor across the street, the downtown area of Point Loma, and the hills in the distance. It was awesome to wake up in the morning, grab some breakfast, and enjoy the sunset on the balcony. The day before leaving, I needed to arrange for a cab at 5:45 AM. The gentleman at the front desk made all the arrangements for me. Checkout the following morning took less than 10 seconds. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. If I need to stay in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here, especially given how affordable it is in relation to other hotels in the area.

Super Location, Pricing and Amenities
I work for a small company and we were going to be in San Diego for a convention. We opted to stay a bit away from the convention hotel because of the room cost, lack of convenience (not really too close to restaurants), and charge for internet and parking. The Best Western had it ALL. We were within 1/2 mile of about 10 or 12 restaurants (definitely a nice walk around the harbor area), could see the harbor from the hotel room balconies, convenient and free parking, a pretty wide selection of items in the continental breakfast (yes, they have a waffle maker), and a great exercise room. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly people at the front desk, nice up-to-date rooms and lobby. Oh....and we paid about HALF the price of the convention hotel's rooms, not to mention saving around $20/day on parking, $10/day on breakfasts and whatever the convention hotel was charging for Internet! There is a walking path that runs for a couple of miles along the harbor right across the street from the hotel.

Close to Airport but not friendly
I chose this hotel bc of the Best Western name and stayed for 2 nights. The first night the heater was broken but no one ever came up to fix it after repeated requests. The second night, I asked for a different room and the front desk woman debated which type of room I had actually reserved and then sent me on a wild goose chase for king beds, including a trip to a smoking room, without asking if I smoked. By the time I got to my second room, it was comfortable, but I won't go back.
