The hotel is clean and neat. It is on a very busy street, but the double pane windows block out the noise. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast which is "free". The staff is courteous and is willing to help in any capacity. Nice getaway in a central location at an affordable price.

not worth the "savings"
Overall, I don't feel the stay was worth the "savings." *Do note that while they have a free airport shuttle, it only operates from 7AM-5PM. So, you'll be out a $14 taxi ride fee if you do not arrive in that window. *While I am not naive enough to think that what you see on commercial websites is an accurate portrayal of what you see in real life, I was still a little surprised by the disparity between the two. *Every evening when we got back to the room, it either smelled super old/musty or super chemically from the cleaning supplies. *Know that every morning at 8AM, you will hear a loud orchestral recording of the national anthem. *And, I don't know how often this happens, but apparently the parking lot next to the hotel is where the military/navy/army? picks up their recruits for basic training. There is a lot of drill practicing that goes on before they actually get on their buses at 7:30. *The icing this disappointing cake was that we awoke one morning to our bathroom sink backflowing into the room, soaking the carpet. It was gnarly and got all over our toiletries, including our toothbrushes, which we had to toss and get new ones. The worst part is, there was no apology or any attempt to comp us anything for the inconvenience. I wish the reviews I had read prior to booking this hotel were a little more representative of our experience. Had they mentioned even one or two of the things above, we would have spent a few extra dollars to have a better hotel experience on our vacation. Will not stay here again. The location was pretty central and great, but there are many other hotels in the area.

Good family spot at a decent price.
pool, spa and workout room were sufficient but tiny although they were usually empty so not bad. breakfast room tiny as well, swarming with people on busy days so it's best to use the outdoor seating or take food to the room, nice breakfast with juice, waffles, yogurt, muffins, danishes and bagels. wish there was a meat with breakfast like bacon, sausage, maybe scrambled eggs. Staff was great, Daniel was a gem, especially helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping was good, even turned items in to lost and found that were left behind. hotel location was perfect across from the harbor and dining and close to the beach and shopping. All in all this place had everything we needed just needs updated furniture to make it a hotter spot.

Great Place!
My Daughter and I visited San Diego for the first time. This hotel was great! The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and the location was close to the bus line and had great views and had a nice easy walk across to the bay. Pool was a little small, but warm so my daughter loved it!

The bus is very close and can get you to many attractions and beaches very quick. Take the bus instead of the taxi....much cheaper!

One night stay in San Diego
Hotel was fine. only issue was not hotels problem. Noise from outside as street has cracks or strips going across its pavement & every car that goes by you hear a "click, click, click from the cars tires. Noise comes right through the sliding balcony door. If street was paved smooth- it would have been a lot quieter & easier to sleep.

Good value for basic lodging
Amenities were just fine. Check in was a bit rough. Our plane was late and the van driver went off the job a little early; we used a taxi. The desk clerk wasn't helpful to try to get mileage credit for our airline program.

Great Place to stay
Our experience was very good with the hotel and staff. Front desk was very friendly. Our room was clean however the heating probably needs to be looked at. It did not seem to adjust to the control on the wall and the room seemed kind of cold even when set on 82. Overall great value with our additional discounts and a great location.
