seven seas

Room was great and much better than we expected for the price! The fact that it was close to the freeway was a small point of concern for me, but we had a great stay and would stay there again.

Great place and affordable

I really enjoyed my stay here and the staff was really patient and helpful. I was glad they had a heated pool and hot tub which was nice. They have a shuttle that picks you up from the airport and takes you back. You can also sign up to use the shuttle for different activities in the city.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

I went on the old town trolley tour and it was great. The trolley stops at different sites and you can get off to explore the area then get back on the next trolley. The trolley has a stop that picks you up near the hotel.

Some good some bad

The room was really small but cute and clean, bed was good enough, the stuffing in the pillows gravitated away from the head easily having to be readjusted often . You have to unplug the fridge to plug in the cofeemaker (cofeemaker has aluminum pot, makes really bad coffee) or blow drier then remember to plug it back in(1 plug for all three). Pool was warm and clean. Food in the restaurant was a bit overpriced the appetizer sampler was really good but the pancakes were tough and chewy. We were informed at check-in that there was a second ADULT 24 hour Jacuzzi, that was nice surprise. Yet the last night there (2/17/13)after 10 pm the security guard came by and asked me if I was topless then a few moments later a family w/small children came in stating the security guard pointed them this way. I left and came back later stopping by the front desk for towels. I asked about the children and he mumbled something about it not being adult only and gave me two towels. On the map for the grounds it states HOT THERAPY POOLS FOR ADULT ONLY and it's posted on the gate entering the hot tub. A few minutes later the same security guard came by with more towels that I supposedly requested and asking IF I was a guest. After blurting out my room # I felt like I was just in an intimidating situation. I had not requested any more than the 2 towels I had and I felt nervous about telling him what room # I was in. The first two nights were really nice and the adult hot tub (it's considerably hotter than the hot tub by the pool) was a good reason to come back once a month for a mini vacation, IF the last night hadn't been so bad.

Something To Complain About

We arrived the motel at 5:09 PM, the front desk clerk told us that we reserved 3 rooms, I showed her the printed out confirmation that we only reserved 2 rooms, but she insisted that we reserved 3 rooms. I asked her to call our travel agent because either motel or travel agent made mistake, she said that we had to call, she would not call. The service was rude, and we were not very happy because it was late and travel agent was not answering the phone calls. The motel didn't tell you in advance or make notice on their website, either, that they withhold $75.00 per room when you check in. Also, there is no breakfast.

Great for the value

When you stay at a Best Western, you don't expect luxury and lots of perks. What you hope for is a clean, comfortable room; a convenient, safe location; decent staff; and a pleasant experience. You get all of that at this hotel. The room had nice decorative touches and felt cozy. The shower was clean. If you get hungry, there's a restaurant on the premises (and you get a %15 off coupon. The restaurant was a bit overpriced, but there were lots of other places to eat within driving distance). Plus, you can't beat the price.
