Great Location!
Friendly staff, great location just down the hill from Balboa Park and Hillcrest. A great place to stay if you're traveling alone, don't want to spend a whole lot, be in a safe location close to all the action in the surrounding neighborhoods! Rooms could use updating but functional. Staff has always been accommodating when there was a problem with a room.

Perfect Place!
All things were perfect. The area was beautiful. Transportation service to and from airport and attractions was very comfortable. Outdoor pool and room were clean and nice. It would be perfect if it had a microwave in guest rooms. The only problem was one of the staff in front desk who was not friendly at all. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good Accomendations
Check-in went very smooth since I wasn't able to check-in due to flight delays, they allowed my daughter to check-in for us. Rooms were very clean, staff courteous, shuttle to airport very accommodating, when neighbors were noisy, security handled it within minutes of call, but ... 1. Refrigerator wasn't able to be used because there was only one plug in outlet on bathroom wall. Unless you didn't want to use a blow dryer or any other device in the bath area. No other outlets even close by or open for this appliance. Not acceptable. :( 2. No microwave, which I thought was supposed to be there. 3. Cost of water bottles was high, $2.50? We left them alone... All in all, I would

all about Value
This is not a place that will Wow you. It is a basic hotel yet clean. Amenities are not great. To get ice or soda, the machines are in the middle of the parking lot next to a maintenance shed. Location is great since you are on the east bound of 8 and next to the turn-around so you can quickly get to the west side of 8.

Average and Adequate
Our mid week stay was fine in the 500 series room furthest away from I-8. Tight room with adequate amenities and clean enough. Bed was comfortable. Expect to hear the machine noise of A/C in rooms of close proximity. No complaints for the price we paid. Good location if going into Old Town. Worth it only with a deal.

Birthday getaway
Great location. Easy to find. Clean..NO HOT water!!! No reading lights. Asked for queen bed and was told only full through this booking agent.

Love the Room Decor!
I loved the decor in my room! Very tropical! The wall length mirror was great to see!! During my stay I went to Benihanas and watched the Superbowl, however, the location is ideal for exploring all of the San Diego area via the trolley system, which has a major stop at Fashion Valley. I love how the bus stop is right outside the hotel complex! This area is very quiet and safe! I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends.

Long walk from hotel
Traffic in San Diego is pretty heavy, and it's easy to get sent off the wrong exit from the freeways. (Lots of last second lane changing when it's your first time getting someplace!) From this hotel I recommend taking a little walk to the trolley station at Fashion Valley (or short drive) and picking up a day pass for $5 that can get you on the trolley system and the buses! The trolley is fast, runs all day long, and can really get you to places tourists want to see!!! It was clean, and I felt safe as well.
