Best Western Golden Triangle
I was looking for price and I found a good value. It was an overall very good experience. The room was clean and it had plenty of pillows. Usually I have to beg for extra pillows or bring my own. But not this hotel, they provided plenty. Good rest! Great deal! The cable TV even worked. WiFi good too!

It was Fine for the price
The hotel was fine. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was fine. It didn't have much just cereal, biscuits and gravy and tiny pastries. It was 15 min from Sea World and 30 min from Safari Animal Park. It was worth it for the price.

A few flaws
This hotel is nearest to my family, so when I travel with other family members they always want to stay here. Usually it's a good place to stay. This time around there was problems. Now I know that having a extremely crowded breakfast area is not something the hotel can do much about. Also the fact that the power went out was something that the hotel has no power over. What the hotel can do is to make sure the rooms are clean and mouse free. On the last day of my stay I saw a mouse in my bed and droppings in the sink. When I told the staff they didn't seem to care. My other traveling companions had some grips but, I can't remember what. Personally, before the mouse discovery I thought my room was great. The bed was comfortable and everything was fine except that the lighting in the shower area was too low and made it hard to see.

Excellent Location
My room was immaculately cleaned every day I stayed there and I was there for 12 days on business. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower and sink area were more than adequate. The light in the shower/commode room could not be put on without the irritatingly noisy fan. Items that would improve a stay there would be the availability of a newspaper and a better breakfast. One can, however, get an excellent breakfast across the street.

Short walk from hotel
There are many places in the area to dine. I would recommend Sorentino's Pizza. It is one mile west on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Try their Summertime Pizza--with pesto, fontina cheese and walnuts, the taste is surprisingly light. I walked there, but there is plenty of parking.

Handy location; check amenities
We were there for overnight prior to a business appointment in LaJolla. Getting to our morning appointment was just a matter of a few minutes on surface streets. The 3rd-floor room was spacious and clean. But, we had to call the front desk to get help with turning on the shower, which was really a hard pull. We had trouble getting online, and every TV channel was fuzzy. When I checked out, I could smell the nice breakfast, but we'd already eaten yogurt and cereal and it was time to depart. The desk clerk had not mentioned breakfast to us on check-in, and we'd arrived at night so didn't notice the dining area in a room off the lobby. It would have been nice to have had the breakfast.

anxious moments
initially, hotel did not have any record of our reservations, we were forced to use their computer to try to get in touch with [...] because they had no way to contact. they were intending to charge us again for a room that we had already paid for. eventually, they found a fax.

Great Location, Good Price
Got a choice of room location. 9 hours in class and much prep work made it imperative to have a quiet nights sleep so was pleasantly surprised got all of this at the price it cost. It was walking distance to Indian, Japanese and American cuisine. Very nice experience
