- Enjoy relaxing picturesque views of our private marina along with several other sailboat-filled marinas and the sunset over Point Loma. Quit and relaxing
This hotel overlook the bay on one side and the marina on the other side. Our room overlooked the bay. The room was a good size and very clean. The walk around the island was both relaxing and beautiful. We were with in walking distance to many upscaled restraunts. Breakfast was a full breakfast not just rolls and coffee. We have already booked to re-visit in December.

Loved this hotel
The hotel had gorgeous views of the marina and the San Diego bay. The location was exceptional. The staff was friendly. I would definetly go back. Restaurants in the area are very good and there are many to choose from. Nice area for walks and jogging or just sightseeing.

My review of Bay Club Hotel & Marina
We were in San Diego for a large conference but weren't interested in staying in one of the mega-convention hotels downtown. We have stayed on Coronado in previous trips and decided to stay in a different location so we looked at Shelter Island. Our stay at the Bay Club Hotel was outstanding in every way. Great room, excellent breakfast buffet,a scenic location and a super value. I would definitely stay there again.

Many travelers select a room on the marina side but we stayed on the bay side. It was quiet even though our room was close to the street and we loved watching the ship traffic go by.

Beautigul locatio, great value!
The Bay Club Hotel and Marina is a great place to stay when visiting San Diego. It really is just minutes from everything you'd like to do. The best part is the hotel looks out to water on each side so you basically get an ocean view from wherever you are. The breakfast that is included is not that basic bagels and fruit, it's an actual hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and french toast. All that along with bagels, cereal, fruit, etc. We will definitely book this hotel again!

Make sure you take the time to drive out to the old Point Loma Lighthouse. Very cool and you have an amazing view of the bay!

great place for the money!
the hotel is a little dated but it was a great place to stay. it is located just a few minutes from the airport and 15 min from downtown/zoo, and 25 minutes from la jolla. its a great deal with the free breakfast buffet each morning and 5 dollar parking a night. i would definately recommend this place and if i were to go back to san diego i would stay here again

Very friendly, relaxing place to stay
The Bay Club Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. All the staff I dealt with was very friendly and ready to help out in any way to make my stay a good one. The hotel itself is in a nice, quiet location, away from downtown, with the bay on one side and a marina on the other. The rooms are set up well, and very clean. The whole hotel is well-run and maintained, and clean. The pool is a little small but heated, a nice plus in June. There is a very nice buffet style complimentary breakfast every morning, and a shuttle service that will take you to/pick you up from the airport or the main trolley stop downtown. Although I didn't use either service, the hotel has a work-out room and an on-site laundry facility. We had no problems while staying there, and I will definitely stay there again if in San Diego. Highly recommend this hotel.

We found the bus/trolley system a great way to get around. You can get a pass and ride any of them-unlimited-for however many days your pass is good for. Definitely visit the information center located across from the dock where the harbour tours depart. They have good attraction packages there and it is worth the money.

convenient location
This hotel is very close to the airport, but not at all noisy. Sea World and the Zoo were easy drives. Room was spacious, but the mattress was rather flimsy. The included breakfast is a huge plus, but otherwise I'd avoid the restaurant - pricey and just not very good. Good value for money, and the staff was very helpful, especially with directions. I would stay there again.

Fantastic place to stay
Staying at this hotel was the BEST experience yet. Great location, warm and friendly staff. All were very willing and eager to help with every question. Very comfortable room with all the extras, small refrigerator, coffee pot, iron, ironing board, safe in room, blow dryer, large flat screen TV, great place to stay and would definitely stay there again. Also have a really good free buffet breakfast daily.

Great, quite and relaxing place to stay.
I have stayed at the Bay Club Hotel and Marina in the past. They out do themselves every time I go. The entire staff are friendly, courteous, helpful, cheerful and will go out of their way for you. Great walk along San Diego Bay across the road. I will definitely go there again in my travels to San Diego, CA.

Good times
Wife and I spent a week there for our 3rd anniversary... had a great time. Great location, helpful staff, beautiful scenery. The breakfasts were above average, except for one day it was really bad, but we spoke to the manager and didn't have any more problems the rest of the week!
