Good location for the price, but...
Sleepless Nov 28, 2009
The location is great and makes all the difference: right on a bayside beach, plus close to an ocean beach, entertainment ... area & Sea World. Pool was big and clean. Staff was friendly. Food on site was good. Unfortunately, a party of young people moved in next door: booze, fights, and lots of noise. Staff was reluctant to resolve the problem quickly until we packed up to leave.

Take time to walk down to the beach and surrounding area. Beach bars with good service. Good breakfast at the Wave House 1/4 mile away.

I had the bay room with an awesome view and the pretty comfy king bed. It was great I enjoyed the location and the activities ... that were available. I didnt partake in any but if I had time to it was available. One day we took a walk around the resort and it was very nice. This place is good for someone looking to get away and relax, for couples and it looks to be family friendly. I would definetely like to stay here again.

Great Family Stay at Bahia
Fun Family Nov 16, 2009
Staff was terrific upon check in, we were upgraded to a suite. The suite was huge, and the view of the bay and boats was ... great. Our kids loved the pool and the harbor seals. We rented a boat and had a blast cruising the bay. Overall, a very relaxing place to stay. Close to SeaWorld, Mission Bay beaches. We would certainly stay there again.

J Lynnae Nov 15, 2009
Staying here was great from the time we checked in. The hotel staff were super friendly, polite and helpful. Our room had ... an excellent view, was very clean and comfortable. Having a kitchenette was nice too! The hotel is close to many attractions and also other places like La Jolla, Coronado Island, Old Town, The Gas Lamp District, Point Loma Lighthouse and Seaport Village. The hotel is right on Mission Bay with an easy one block stroll to the ocean. We were very pleased with our stay! Did I mention the awesome food they serve? We wanted to try everything on the menu and actually made a pretty good dent in it. Compliments to the chef!!!

Nice hotel, great service!
happy traveler Oct 26, 2009
I was really only in the hotel at night as I was attending a conference, but the staff was truly superb! Room service was ... fast and the folks at the front desk were able to answer all my questions. More than that, I got the sense that everyone I dealt with truly cared whether or not I had an enjoyable experience at their hotel. Also, the location on Mission bay and the gardens and grounds of the hotel were really lovely.

You can walk to the beach or up into the commercial district easily on two different walking/bike paths...one on the bay side and one along the ocean. Very nice and quite pretty!

A Decent Hotel
Latin Lover Oct 25, 2009
Don't believe the pictures. Sure the hotel looks great on the pictures, but it isn't that nice in real life. The best thing ... about the hotel are the amenities. They have a pool, large spa, fitness room, game room, a large garden, free weekend steamboat rides, a large tennis court and a shuffle board court. If you expect a mediocre experience then you will be satisfied. The place has an old school 70's vibe and the rooms are a little small. Other than that if you are on a budget I would recommend it. Definitely wouldn't pay more than a $100 bucks for it though.

Great location and good sized studio with kitchenette and pull-out sofa for kids. Full-sized fridge and stove, but no ... microwave (kinda strange). Very close to Belmont Park with amusement rides and Mission Beach to get a true San Diego feeling! Parking lot is set up a little strange, but with enough spaces for all.

Traveller Oct 20, 2009
This hotel is at great location. It has it's own beach which is okay but is next to Mission beach as well as the Sea World. I ... got a room in the storied building right opposite the lobby. It worked out well as they are renovated ones and were pretty clean. Plus it had a large balcony. The room was pretty large and comfortable... we had a good time here :-)

This hotel was beautiful. I know that the Bahia is an older hotel but the rooms are very clean and the staff is super helpful ... and friendly. The view was breathtaking and the location was perfect. We loved the individualized cabin like room that we had. No noise from elevators, people in the hallways at all hours of the ... night, other showers and/or toliets flushing, no vending machine and/or icemaker noise. It made for a good nights sleep. We could park our car rental right in front of our room. The grounds were beautiful. The duck pond and the sea lion pool were a pleasant plus. We were visiting family and the kids really got a kick out ot the sea lions. The location was close to everything, Seaworld, Downtown, the Ocean and two of the major freeways. We would stay at this resort again.
