Property features

The Bahia Resort Hotel dates back to 1953, when the property opened with 52 rooms. It has grown gradually since then.

Today, the property features a tropical garden and a seal pool with two seals on loan from the San Diego Zoological Society. The hotel also owns and operates the Bahia Belle, an authentic 19th-century sternwheeler that circles Mission Bay on a regular boat cruise.

All guests have complimentary access to the on-site heated outdoor pool, as well as a fitness center with LifeCardio and LifeFitness equipment. There's also a video arcade on property. The hotel offers 24-hour laundry service (fees apply).

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the Mediterranean-style Café Bahia, which boasts an outdoor patio for al fresco meals. The on-site lounge, Tangier Bar, offers Happy Hour seven days a week.

Beautiful!

My daughter and I had a great stay at Bahia Resort. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and it feels like a 5-star resort getaway. There is so much to do in San Diego and surrounding areas that my only regret is not having enough time to enjoy the resort amenities to their fullest. Maybe another month there would work! I hope to get back there soon!!!

An amazing Resort

The first night had 3 weddings which wasn't so nice. But once they cleared out this place was amazing. The pool is huge and the bar serves food and delivers it. The pork tacos are to die for. I will be staying here again. However taking the boat to the Catamarran is not a good idea. The food is terrible. The service is about as bad and it was overpriced. I mentioned the portions were too small and the manager told me they were enough for her. I would stay away from the Catamarran unless you want a terrible time. The Bahia also has great service and very friendly staff. The beds need to be updated but that is a small gripe.

Fantastic place

Family came in from all across the country for my father's Life Celebration. We all stayed at the resort from three to five days. The hotel staff was professional and very kind. Patrick at the front desk went above and beyond the call to make sure our time was without added worry or strife. The grounds are beautiful. The harbor cruise was very fun. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We may even do a family reunion there next year.

Family Trip (May 2015)

Traveling with the family (four of us) can sometimes be difficult, but the stay at Bahia made us all comfortable and we felt safe. All staff, from front desk/gift shop/car driver/housekeeping al had smiles on their face and seemed to genuinely want to assist. I was most impressed with all the other events going on and yet the hotel staff still made me feel like I wasn't ignored. Also traveling with family, it was very helpful having a laundry on-site. We will for sure be back! Thank You, Murrell Family

loved it

It was actually pretty nice I thought. We had a garden view room and the kids loved the baby duck families and the pool and hot tub were big and the beach was walking distance with a little amusement park right there. Will visit again.
