Great stay in San Diego
Recently stayed at the Andaz with a group of friends. Was thoroughly impressed with the hotel - from staff to amenities, it was all great. Also very centrally located making getting around easy. Will definitely return.

Great stay!
We stayed at Andaz hotel for my husband's birthday. The room was little small but cozy for two people. I loved the glass through bathroom and rainforest shower head! If you stay this hotel, you should go to the Wine bar. There are various kinds of wines that you can enjoy from tasting to a full glass! My husband really enjoyed this bar and so do I. We like to stay this hotel again ;-)

bad to really bad[...]!
[...] The room's bathroom had a crack on the tube so the water travel onto the outer area of the bathroom and wet my cloths along with my friend's. Andaz staff were to fix it and notify us when it was complete, once again never notify and never fix. The second night our cloths was place across the bahtroom incase the same were to happen, so it did and once again my cloths got wet. I had to travel to the store and buy new cloths and spend more money then I had too. [...] This trip is going on my calander as one of the worst trips do to service [...]

Don't Stay at the Andaz
The staff is young and very condescending. There is no attention to detail - I had to ask for coffee in the room, service in the restaurant, the newspaper, etc. They have a nightclub and there was screaming in the street outside my window until after 2:30 a.m Staff said that "that's what happens." Not a good place to take children - They have condons, vibrators, and massage oil for sale in packages on top of the minibar. I travel a great deal and this was one of my two worst experiences in 20 years. Hyatt should be ashamed to have this hotel as part of its chain!

A absolute find! The Andaz is
A absolute find! The Andaz is just a wonderful place to stay; the staff are so helpful and welcoming greeting you as you enter from in front of the counter, not behind it - like a friend or family member. The rooms are very well appointed with complimentary water, soft drinks, savory and sweet temptations. The hotel's restaurant is excellent too. I would highly recommend the andaz, and I would certainly stay again.

Great atmosphere and awesome staff
The ambiance of this hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the decor was really great. On the weekend nights, I would not recommend for older people as the music on the rooftop bar was very loud and went on until the early morning. It was a great time and I would definatly go back again.

Terrible
I was given a room with a bathroom designed for someone who would need wheelchair access. No tub to soak in, 1 sink, and no separation or privacy from the toilet. On top of that, the shower sucked! It looked nothing like the photos. I was upset and the hotel did nothing but apologize.

Overrated.
The rooms were nice and clean but very small and stuffy. There was a mugginess to the rooms. The first room we checked into obviously a smoker had a party in it and the whole hotel is non-smoking. We got another room and it was just as stuffy. The A/C could not get the room below 73 degree either.
