The hotel is a walking distance away from the gaslamp district and is considered to be within downtown. The room had some dust in it and was rather modestly furnished. However, the price is attractive, the services are all standard (free wifi, breakfast, wake up calls, room amenities) and overall this is a nice bargain. Would recommend to anyone on a budget!

Very nice people, the breakfast was good and the room comfortable. But they didn't pass to clean the room.

the two main and big concerns: I was there with my student and despite that the reservation was for two twin beds, we were put in a tiny room with a single queen bed. since the city was practically sold out of reasonably priced hotel rooms we had no way to change to another hotel. the room was right above the entrance on the street front under landing airplanes. the second is the totally unreliable Internet connection ... I had to go in early and stay late at the convention center to get things done needing Internet connection While the place would have been O.k. I do not recommend staying there unless you just want to use the room the sleep from 2am until 6 am-ish.

Rooms are very small. ours had one queen and it's tight like Europe. we are girls so we didn't like that the mirror was small, but it's clean and location is good. and for one night, the price is unbeatable.

If you're looking for a cheap place near the San Diego convention center, then this is a decent place to go. Not a family place!

The room was too small! There was barely any room to walk on because there was no space. There was only one mirror in the entire room. The room was noisy; there was a tapping sound about every 15 seconds and did not stop during the night. The shower knob was confusing; when it was turned to the left cold water would come out, when the knob was turned to the right hot water came out, and there was no in between; you either got hot water or cold water. The hotel does not have parking so you have to find parking on the streets. After I checked out I sat on the lobby and noticed the concierge was nicer to the other guest; he asked if they would like to stay at the hotel again so that he can give them a discount and he offered them bottled water.

When I booked this hotel, I read the reviews and thought it would be a good bet while on a business trip in San Diego with a colleague. We didn't need much, just a safe place to keep our stuff and rest our heads at night, a clean shower, and a convenient location. We were absolutely stunned to find that this place is GROSSLY misrepresented online. The rooms smelled of cigarettes, the carpets and beds were old and suspect, the windows were aluminum sliders and had no sound proofing (love that there's an airport near by), the characters in the lobby were frightening - couples hooking up, druggies, etc. The only redeeming quality was the manager who helped us refund our money. If you want a place to hook up, this is your hotel. If you are a serious traveler with standards, look elsewhere.

the hotel is clean , and the two gentlemens are very kind and professionals, veru educated , they helped me how to move in public transportation and dinning out in the town. I strongly recomend this place, I like de the breakfast , fesh stuff every morning.

Very close to Gaslamp district and a 10 to 15 minute drive to all attractions.
