Checked out the local bars restaurants and pier! Some great food and fun! A bit

Ok, room was reasonably clean, they would not allow me to print my boarding pass, claimed they did not have internet access even though I had web access in my room?????

The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff wasn't the friendliest and the shampoo came in single use packets. The location is only a mile from downtown and right off the interstate. Nothing special. Its what you would expect for a cheap room.

I was there on business but I do spend a lot of time or have spent quite a bit of time at this location for pleasure and relaxation. The price is great and I will be using this establishment more and more. I really like it! Bernadette M. Peters

I was not expecting much from a hotel called "Budget Lodge" but there were some things that needed some improvement. The guy at the front desk was nice but a little sketchy. He gave us a non smoking room after I specifically asked for a smoking room, when I brought that up to him he said "oh ok well it's non smoking but you can smoke, whatever!". Also, the room did not have any "Privacy Please" signs for the door so every morning I would wake up to the maid standing in the middle of the room. Lastly, there was very little parking so that was an issue. The experience was not all bad specially for this kind of hotel but I have stayed at better ones for less than what I paid for here while on the road.

Hotel is independently owned. The owners were very nice but the smell of their cooking overwelmed my entire room (curry). The room was large and clean but the bathroom lighting was very poor and the fan made a lot of noise.

The room felt damp and had a very strong odor of bleach/cleaning solutions. We had to open the windows and turn on the air for a couple of hours to reduce the smell. After finally getting to sleep, we were awakened at 3:30 a.m. by the people upstairs making lots of noise. We were on the second floor of a three story. The noise continued for about an hour, so when we finally did fall back asleep it was time to wake up to begin our day!!! Since we were only looking for a clean bed and shower after a long day, this hotel did fit the bill especially since there were no bugs.

We had the best time & didn't break the bank. So economical we stayed another night. Close to the pier, great restaurants & bars. Room was clean & did the job. Will definitely stay again.

When I walked into the hotel, the office was being cleaned with some sort of foul smelling pine agent. I filled out the card for the room, which stated no checkouts 10 minutes after check in. I very soon found out why. After going to the second floor, and noticing the 1970 curtains, which looked like they hadn't been cleaned since installed, I open the door to my assigned room. As I opened the door, a 3-4 inch cockroach scurried across the floor. I shut the door to the jail cell size room and went directly back down stairs. I waited t the front desk for at least 2 minutes and told the owner/check-in agent that this place was not for me. He offered a suite - I declined, knowing bugs were in the place. Disgusting! He said he was charging me for a night. I said I didn't care what he tried to do, I wasn't staying there.
