Clean and comfortable
I am very fussy and I loved this hotel for our 1 night stay and I would have enjoyed staying longer. The room was clean & spacious and the furniture and bedding appeared new. The place was spotless. The bed was comfortable. There was adequate parking in the underground parking garage.Nice neighborhood. The continental breakfast was OK but could have been better if there were more bread choices - not just white bread and white bagels. The cereal, juice and coffee was fine. There were bananas as well.

Short walk from hotel
Hotel Very close to the Cal Train Station. We where able to be in downtown San Francisco within 10 min.We where also able to catch the Train to San Jose. It was Great.

Howard Johnson Express Inn San Bruno Ca./SFO West
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Beds nice and comfortable. Rooms, hotel, and parking garage very clean. Very nice and super clean breakfast area. Average continental breakfast. Good location in nice save neighborhood. Access to restaurants and shops within walking distance. Need to have movies for rental on cable system ( maybe I missed the control command ).

Great if you only need a place to sleep
Terrible location but very clean and prompt service. Great place and very economical if you only need a place to sleep on your trip.

No place like home
Sheets, torn and dirty
We chose this hotel as it was close to SFO and we were arriving really late. We checked in around 11:00 PM and the clerk was pleasant but the lobby smelled like a Chinese food restaurant. We should have checked the bed before we unpacked, brushed our teeth, etc cause when I pulled back the covers, there were hairs in the bed!! It was SO late. we were SO tired, we just slept above the sheets. Trying to get a refund thru Orbitz as the hotel would not help at all. I took pictures as proof.

Long walk from hotel
There was a liquor store across the street but it was closed (11 PM) and the fast food places we saw from the taxi were WAY TOO FAR to walk to. We ending up eating VERY stale Fritos from the vending machine.

A great room for an SFO wait
One night stay prior to my departure at SFO and was less than 5 minutes away from the airport. Comfortable bed, although not a great view.

Upgraded security
I've stayed here many times. The walls are still thin enough that screaming kids in a neighboring room are annoying and the sound of the upstairs shower at 5 am can wake you up. However, the rooms are clean, housekeepers on top of everything. Security cameras added for the parking areas. Desk clerks friendly and helpful. Easy access to Rt 101 and I-280 freeway systems to get up into San Francisco & across the Bay or south to San Jose area.

BART To San Francisco easily accessed by car or bus . Quite close to rental car return at SFO.

First trip to California
This hotel is close to the airport and offers free wifi, airport shuttle and breakfast. The BART in San Bruno was a long walk so I would take the airport shuttle to the international terminal and get on the BART there. The staff was very friendly and my room was clean.

Howard Johnson near SFO
We just needed a decent place to stay near the airport as my wife and I had an early morning flight to catch. We weren't there long, but the check-in process was quick. The room was clean. The bathroom was pretty good, it had granite for the sink area and shower wall. The walls/floorboards are a little thin, so don't expect pindrop silence at night (we slept fine). Overall this was good value for us, as all we wanted was a clean, comfortable place near the airport.

A trip to the bay
Good price clean and safe. I would definitely come back. Most hotel in San francisco don't have parking. Or u would have to park a couple a blocks away.
