More than adequate for one night stopover

Used the Laurel Inn as a single night stopover to visit the Monterey peninsular. Not too far away to make it inconvenient but far enought away to get a cheap room rate. Room was typical US motel style two double beds, TV etc. Clean and tidy with bonus of in room coffee machine although I'd advise to run water through It before committing to coffee just in case it hasn't been used in a while like ours seemed to be. Plenty of diners, restaurants and fast food outlets in area and basic but good enough breakfast provided. Best out of our three stops while driving the Pacific Coast Highway.

Great stopover spot

I needed a place close to Laguna Seca to stay for the night and this was a solid choice. Staff was friendly, and it was only about 20 minutes to get to the track the next morning. Just as convenient as Monterey at half the price. The outdoor spa was small and only sorta warm, but other than that I was happy with my decision.

Great experience.

We stayed in this hotel in May. The staff was very competent we were a large group with several rooms. They put all our rooms together. The breakfast is quite good, and there is a restaurant/quality diner in their parking lot.

Road trip to Carmel / Monterey

After getting expensive hotel deals in Monterey, we found this motel for an overnight stay. Its just a few feet away from 101. Staff was friendly and had the knowledge of in and around Salinas and Monterey. Even though it was packed and we were on ground floor (right next to car parking), rooms were quite. We could not hear any sound from outside.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Its cheaper to stay in Salinas than in Carmel / Monterey. Carmel / Monterey is just 30 min drive
