Hotel with outdoor pool and on-site diner offers great value in Salinas

Comfort and Great Price
I use the Laurel Inn at least once a week for business trips. Clean rooms, friendly staff and great location just off the freeway. Close to eateries and shopping. Not the high end accomadations but great deal for the price point.

More Than Just Your Money's Worth
Had to travel for a conference and Laurel Inn was recommended. The staff was friendly and patient as well as efficient. The room was both spacious and CLEAN. The location was near where I needed to be and the restaurant on site had good food for a good price. When next year's conference rolls around I know where I will be staying.

Not good.
Staff was very slow and not courteous. Room was freezing and heat was not working. Toilet was so small like a baby toilet. I will not suggest this for any one

great for the price
not anything fancy like the five stars, but very clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and very reasonable cost. i use this hotel when i dont need to stay in monterey at the five stars.

Awesome overnight stay
This was my second time staying at this hotel and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Salinas. It had everything I needed to stay comfortably overnight and the front desk staff was efficient and able to get me into my room quickly. The room was clean and comfortable though I couldn't figure out how to cool it down without opening the front window so it was kind of warm and the internet was slower than I'm used to. The continental breakfast was good and was continually being stocked so nothing ever ran out and the room it was in was pretty and close to my room. The biggest reason why I would recommend this hotel though would be because of the area that it's in. It's close to the 101 so it's easy to find and it's in a nice, clean, safe-feeling area. Close to a few shopping centers and has a cute diner super close.

Pretty Good for the Money
The room was clean and service was great! I didn't know what to expect but as soon as I pulled in, I felt a lot more comfortable. Check-in was a breeze and the room was nicely sized for the price. The location to highways, shops, and food (fast and otherwise) was very good! There is a mall about a mile and a half a way or so in case you want big ticket items and Target the other way if you need to get in and out quickly. Didn't eat breakfast (never eat where I stay though) as we jumped in our car and headed to Monterey on Sat and Santa Cruz on Sunday... Great place to crash after a long day of having fun. Bathrooms were VERY clean and towels were plentiful....

clean & friendly
Friendly staff. Located right off the freeway and close to other restaurants and businesses (2 minute drive). Extensive continental breakfast -- not just a muffin and coffee. Clean with plenty of hot shower water. Barely enough room for the roll-away we ordered to fit in-between the bed and room chairs.
