Needed a place to stay

I needed a place to stay for one night in the Salinas, CA area. This place was convienent. Right off the freeway and close to where I needed to be. I was traveling alone and found the place to be secure, comfortable and somewhat clean. I didn't need any amenities, only a clean room with a warm shower, a bed and a tv.

Saved a bundle!

The room was good except for the carpet which died years ago! The bed was surprisingly comfortable. It's three stories but the elevator makes it a non-issue. The staff were wonderful. We showed up several hours before check-in but were given a room right away. I asked if I could fill up our water bottles and was given new cold bottled water instead. The toilet was not flushing well when we got there but they fixed it while we were out. The location is easy to find and get to. It is a short drive to the aquarium in Monterey. The money we saved on the hotel allowed us to buy more souvenirs for the grandchildren.

Worked well for business travel

The room was fine, very clean, but nothing special. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but it served its purpose. The staff was friendly enough. They have muffins and coffee for breakfast, but that's it. Not an amazing place, but good value for the price.

Good budget hotel for a night

Surprisingly comfortable for the very low price. Basic amenities, but bed was good. Street side room was a little noisy with the truck traffic, especially with the gap under the door, but wasn't bad at night. 20min to Laguna Seca, right next to 101.

nice room but bad things going on

The room was clean but you only get a mini muffin and coffee for breakfast, with no food on weekends. You have to pay to have a microwave in your room but they had none. There are no coffee makers in the rooms and you can get a hair dryer at the front desk. I had a problem with something taken and went to the manger, I waited to get a answer from him about it,he never got back to me. The maids were great and did there jobs well.

Doesn't get any better for the price

I expected the worst for the price i paid (which was cheap) and was pleasantly surprized. My only complaints would be the walls were thin and you could hear the water running in the pipes and traffic going by all night in a busy commercial area. The bed was hard but clean and they ran out of breakfast before we made it down.

Short drive to Monterey Bay which is why we were in the area. Good price compared to hotels closer.

Awesome value

From check-in to check-out it was a pleasure. The staff was awesome with immediate action, the hot tub was the perfect temperature, our neighbors were friendly, the room was quiet, the tub was larger than most tubs and the value was unbeatable. It was a skimpy breakfast; but for half the price of comparable motels, we were satisfied. We had stayed here before and we'll stay here again.

Great room.

Perfect location, can't miss it from the freeway. Room was clean, carpet a bit old, but ok. Staff was ok. For the value, this is a great deal.
