If you are pulling into town @ 11 @ night and you need a place to sleep and get up the nsxt day and blowing out of town, it will .... work? Otherwise... yuk.

Just for one night
It was ok just for a quick place to sleep but in an industrial area and next to freeway. Lots of late night visitors. Made us kind of suspicious of the activities that may have been going on. We found a "crack Bag" and hair ties in the room in obvious places so I am wondering how housekeeping missed them. But it was inexpensive and only for a nights sleep we spent absolutely NO time in the room or at location. On a good note I was surprised to find a fridge and microwave in room. (a plus)

Good value in lodging
Located at the southern edge of town, this motel is a somewhat distant from most of the dining, shopping, business and entertainment centers. However, it does provides clean, comfortable quarters for travelers at reasonable rates. We had a minor problem with a light fixture and light sleepers might be bothered by traffic noise as the motel is close to a freeway. Overall, the facility is well-built but could be improved by better sound insulation in the walls and windows to muffle noise from adjoining rooms and the outside.

Short drive from hotel
Although a Denny's and Jack In the Box restaurant are across the street from this motel, a better option is to drive a short distance to downtown Salinas and eat at Sang's cafe near the National Steinbeck Center. This long-time establishment has a sign out front that claims Steinbeck himself ate there. They serve American comfort food with some Asian dishes in generous portions at budget prices.

Overall nice
There was a disturbance by another guest but staff took care of it immediately and called the police.

location was convenient, rooms were clean and having a microwave and fridge was very helpful, i was just surprised that it was a motel type setting.

Adequate for the price
Small but clean room, comfortable bed. Adequate for the price. Fine if you don't intend to spend too much time in the room other than sleeping. Friendly staff. Close to restaurant(s), service station. Would stay there again.

very good for the price
We only needed a place to spend one night, and the hotel was perfect for this. No frills, but the room was nice and clean. A very good deal for the price!

nothing to rave about
this day's inn was clean, but in the heart of the industrial area. there was nothing special. it is a good place just for one night . i would not recommend it as a weekend stopover to go the monterey. we checked in and out and had no problems.

Great Rooms
Days Inn in Salinas was a great choice of hotels. The rooms were big and clean. All the staff I had contact with were very friendly and helpful. I wuld definately stay here again.

Days Inn had a nice breakfast the next morning so didn't eat out any place around but was told by other guests it was a short distance to Main St where there was places to eat.
