Americas Best Value Inn-Salinas

The Hotel was OK - Not the best area, but we just needed a place to sleep. We did like the Continental Breakfast provided and each room had a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. That was really nice. We would stay here again if we have another trip to Salinas.

Very noisy - it is next to a freeway and undergoing renovation of the concrete and the walls have little sound-proofing. My basic necessities for one night were met - I am glad I did not need to stay any longer than that. Having a frig and microwave in the room was good becasue I like to eat in. Staff was kind.

Very friendly service upon checking in. Rooms were clean and the whole hotel seemed to have been remodled recently. Only downside was that the freeway is RIGHT next door, but the insulation quieted the noise down greatly, to a dull roar that was easily covered with the television or the air conditioner. The only big cons that I encountered were: 1. the nasty shampoo and conditioner packets supplied. 2. having to call the front desk every morning for extra towels because the maids took them while cleaning (even though they were hung up nicely) and didn't replace them. and 3. the only ice machine is downstairs in the back of the hotel (which wasn't a disaster since the rooms have fridge/microwave combo's). Overall a great deal! Would definitely choose this hotel again...

Room was clean and staff was pleasant. Downside to the visit was the location of this hotel. My room was less than 50 yards from the highway. It’s very noisy. Someone was dumpster diving at night when I arrived back at my room. I would not have stayed if my family was with me.

Just beside highway exit. Good for short stay. Room is clean and comfortable. Providing selective dining lists for guest is appreciated. What pity is the non-smoking room is smell.

Got to the hotel late traveling from Los Angeles. Sketchy little man behind window who could barely speak and understand English, but he knows how to take a a credit card. It's really noisy being by the 101. The rooms are old with a strong musty old man smell. The shower is designed for someone who is 5 ft tall. And to top it off when we walked out in the morning there was an exterminator truck in front of our door. Either they do have a problem or they are being proactive.

Easy access to 101 freeway , other bikers from west coast ,good parking for bikes .......My 16 year old rode 2004 GSXR 1000 and I rode my old school 1986 GSXR ........GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR ALL ....WILL DO AGAIN NEXT YEAR ..........

The hotel was clean and minimal. The desk help were a bit hard to understand. The breakfast is the absolute basic. The price was fantastic. The value was excellent. When I pay this price I'm not expecting extras. We had a fridge and microwave and good water pressure and a clean room. For $42 that's what I am looking for.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The remote for the TV was a bit difficult to operate. The noise from the freeway was very noticable. Good continental breakfast.
