Convenient!
This hotel is located near the freeway and is easy to find. However, the breakfast is small and the breakfast room is so small which has only three tables! Please don't stay at the hotel for breakfast.

3 night stay
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Hard to regulate heat but could open window. Could use some upgrades to breakfast and check on provisions more often. We had to ask for milk, napkins, rolls and fruit and no more frosted flakes available. It was nice to have it but not very well done. Juice did not work. Shower was awesome, good water pressure and temperature. All in all was a good experience.

Better then I expected
This hotel for the money is a great deal. My room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfest isn't a big deal but it does the job. The parking lot is a little tight. The hotel is in a good location and it was easy to get around. There are some good places to eat within a a few blocks. Two nights for just under a $100 is a good deal to me when I am in Sac. I stayed at a Ramada a few weeks ago and paid more. That room was not even close to as nice as the Super 8. I will stay here again.

Just adequate
Clean. Beds ok. Nice Shower. AC worked. A quiet night's sleep. However, the mini fridge in the room didn't work and phone calls to the front desk didn't appear to go through or were not answered. We just put our drinks in the ice bucket. Breakfast didn't live up to reviews we'd read (unripe bananas were the only fruit and only skim milk was put out (thankfully it was nice and cold!). Breakfast area was not tended, replenished or tidied as guests used it (in fact, no staff in sight). Overall though, a decent, clean, quiet room for an inexpensive night's sleep.

Too much smoke
Price was ok but I was not expecting for those that could smoke, would be smoking in the hallways. I thought for sure it would just be in their room. I was thoroughly disappointed. The room was comfortable enough. For some weird reason after watching the tv for a little while, the tv would just shut off for no apparent reason. We asked for extra pillows, and they said they were all booked up and couldnt give us any. They should keep extras somewhere. The walls are also thin. We could hear everything. wer won't be staying here again or suggesting it to our friends.

The good, the bad, and really ugly
I pulled into the parking area in front of the check in. There were people lurking and hanging out in front. It look like some of them were working on cars and there were prositutes looking for work. I was afraid to get out of my car. My daughter locked the door and stayed in the car for fear they may jack the car while was in the reception area. I told the clerk I didn't want to stay there because of safety reason along with cleanliness. [...] I had to leave.

great for the price
the price was extremely fair- room was clean, fresh towels and bars of soap/shampoo each day, shower worked and hot water on demand, not noisy even though the Florin Road 4-lane highway was directly outside my first floor window past some flowering bushes. The trademarked "SuperStart" free breakfast was okay- if you want FOOD, then buy it yourself at Denny's 50 yards away. TV worked, lights worked, fridge worked, bed was firm and comfortable. Ice machine down the hall, and apparently coin-op washing machine and soda machines (which I didn't use). One local told me he says the Chief of Police thinks Florin Road is dangerous, but how can you comment on that in a 3 night stay when nothing happened to me? Desk clerks were always polite and UNDERSTANDABLE. I thought the pool was tiny until I compared it to the Motel 6 pool, and the Comfort Inn indoor pool. One quirky positive feature: being located at the 55th Street traffic light means quick easy access either east or west along a divided highway. Seems like potentially useful stores nearby, like Home Depot and WalMart...I used the AAA office further down on Florin to get directions and maps, then drove to Vietnamese, Korean, and Thai restaurants in other parts of the city. Maybe not exactly close to "attractions" like the downtown state capital, but I was 6 miles from Sac State U, my reason for coming to Sacramento, and for the price, it was a good place to stay for 3 nights.
