Convenient Sacramento area hotel with free shuttle to downtown sights
Guests of the Ramada Limited Sacramento are near the city's 302-acre Discovery Park along the American River. Active guests are close to the 32-mile bike trail and just two miles north of the cultural sights of downtown Sacramento. Additional business-friendly amenities at the Ramada Limited Sacramento include a free shuttle to downtown, a small conference space and free high-speed Internet making this hotel a good 2-star value.

Who would have thought?
My expectations were very low considering the great deal I got but when we showed up we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was awesome, all had great customer service. The room was fine, even had a refrigerator and coffee. The bed was fine, pillows were great. Towels were a little old but that would be the only negative. We were very surpised to find such a decent hotel at such a good price.

Lackluster at best
When I called to make the reservation I told them I had a dog and they failed to mention a $20 upcharge. So when we checked in I got charged an extra $20 and they moved us to a "pet room." The area our room was in smelled like dog poo. Our ac/heater did not work. I called it in twice and nobody came. At about 1 in the morning we heard loud noise coming from upstairs that persisted for more than an hour. We checked out the next day and I called to complain and have yet to hear back from the "general manager." Customer service is lackluster at best. Do not stay here.

Staff were pleasant friendly and courteous. When something needed fixed they attended to it immediately. The hotel description states that shuttle service is provided to and from the hotel to the airport and to the convention center. (The main reason I chose not to stay at one of the more expensive downtown hotels was cost and transportation.) When I arrived I was informed there was a charge each time I used the shuttle service which was not in the description. I was told because I was a "prepaid guest" there was a charge. The day I left there was no shuttle service available but the staff took charge and made arrangements for me.They made a satisfactory adjustment in my bill for the shuttle service. I only ask they modify their website to indicate there may be a charge for shuttle service.

Was an old hotel with an out of date everything in the rooms. Comfortable and clean, just old. The free shuttle was not free to Orbitz customers, much to my surprise. Compared to other hotels this was over priced for what they offered. I would try another hotel not so close to the highway next time. Noise was a bit of an issue.

Not Bad But...
Everything was pretty good but i think there were some kind of bugs in the bed. I had two bites on my feet when i woke up. The next night it felt like something was craling on me. So i slep on top of the sheets. Overall the room was pretty good for the money.

asked for non smoking room walked in and smelled like smoke. bed not comfortable. asked for directions to somewhere but the printer did not work there to print them out.

Nice continental breakfast. Great for freeway access, but scary to walk alone at night.

Good basic overnight stay

We were there for a meeting and had a truck and trailer. We called the staff because we knew we were getting in late and the sectioned off an area for us to park. That was very nice.
