Great waffles!
Fantastic value for the money. Rooms were always clean and staff was awesome. Overall, every morning, a wonderful continental breakfast and you could carry food back to the room after eating your breakfast in the dining area. Shuttle services were provided from and to the hotel free of charge. I would rate this hotel "AWESOME" and highly recommend it to my collegues!

The "American River" is right behind the hotel which is in walking distance. You can see the boats being launched into the water and lots of jet skiing. Beautiful setting!

I was here for a three-day conference. I spent very little time in the room, but the hotel was conveniently located to my destination and the staff was very friendly. This hotel was a great value and served it business purpose quite well. There was free wireless internet and technical support that was superb. Thanks, La Quinta.

Convenient, reasonable, clean
The hair dryer did not work and there could have been more soap but otherwise seems ok. Would stay there again.

Convenient
The La Quinta Sacramento Downtown was excellent for my needs. I checked in very late on a Sunday night, totally exhausted, and needed to attend a meeting in Sacramento early Monday morning. Thus I did not have the chance to use many of the amenities. The amenities I saw looked very nice though, especially the fitness center. Also, the complimentary breakfast was excellent. One caution: The location is very convenient for drivers arriving or leaving on I-5. However it is NOT really downtown, but rather is sandwiched between the freeway, the Sacramento River, the American River, and the Old Sacramento attraction. It's a pleasant enough area, and reasonable quiet considering its proximity to the freeway. There is a handy convenience store in the adjacent gas station, open 24 hours. But it is definitely not within walking distance to shopping, state capital, or business addresses which are in the true downtown area. Allow 10 or 15 minutes to drive to those locations. Also for safety reasons I would avoid walking too far in some directions alone late at night. Overall I would recommend this La Quinta to a friend; in fact I have already done so.

The name La Quita Inn Downtown Sacramento is somewhat misleading as you will need a vehicle to get to downtown quick. Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful (although my wake-up call never came). Good location just of I-5 with clean, quiet and sufficient rooms. Good restaurants are nearby (walking distance).

Awesome
My sister and I had a great time. The staff there was unbelievable--friendly, joking, laughing, and the shuttle took us where ever we wanted to go in Sacramento and picked us up when we were finished. We definately would stay there again.

Great!
I took the train to Sacramento to watch a baseball game. The hotel was 3/4 mile from the ballpark, via a lovely riverside walk, and close to the Old Town. If you stay here, try and get a riverside room. The other side overlooks I-5. Good continental breakfast.
