Very nice stay
The hotel is newly remodeled so everything in the room looks nice. The bed was very comfortable but I wish they gave a thicker blanket (they use the same thin blankets as motels but cover it with a nice sheet so it looks more upscale). Not a lot of selection at the complimentary continental breakfast but adequate. I would definitely recommend staying here as it is fairly quiet and very clean.

Newly remodeled
Quick access from I-5 for through travelers. Friendly service, lovely room, all the items we wanted for breakfast. The remodel is not quite complete: new carpets for the hallways are coming. Excellent price for the quality.

Nice and Clean
We just stayed for the night but it was quite for the most part. In the morning I could here some of the other guest up and about but that was the only noise I heard. The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly.

Very Pleasant
The atmosphere was very welcoming from the start. This unique hotel has a friendly staff, but it seems a bit out of date. However, it was under the beginnings stages of remodeling during my brief stay. I wouldn't call it luxorious, but it was very clean and had cozy outdoor areas. The hall ceiling, on 2nd floor at least, seemed a little short giving me the feeling of staying on a ship. The breakfast is just one of those continental deals: cereal, bagels, fruit, ect. and my room was free from bedbugs which I have been fearful since all the news stories. I would definetly give it thumbs up!

Motel price....hotel feel
This small motel had a wonderful hotel feel. We wanted something within walking distance of the Sacramento River and Old Town; without paying "tourist" prices. The Governor's Inn was perfect. An easy 2 blocks to the river and a lovely (less than a mile) bike/walking path to Old Town. Eager staff and nicely appointed rooms and lobby areas. Our only complaint; located just off of I5, it was too noisy to keep the windows open.
