Excellent choice
The friendly, professional service permeated this experience. All staff were well trained and accommodating. Room was clean and comfy. The location is spot on in relation to Old Sacramento- just steps away. Only drawback was the noise from the freeway in the bedroom- new windows are definitely needed on the side facing the freeway.

Short walk from hotel
Champagne Sun. Brunch @ the Rio Cafe or upstairs @ the Delta King. Right on the river with the boats passing, paddle boats, ski boats and the likes! Sacramento has been passed by on the way to Tahoe, or Reno, but it is a wonderful stopping point with so much history of California boom, from the 1800's. You won't be sorry. Stay at the Embassy Suites, on the river, if you're not in a hurry!

Best Location in Sacramento!
Myself, wife and six year old son stayed at the Embassy Suites, Sacramento. The corner suite with the riverfront view was breathtaking, especially at night. The all you can eat buffet breakfast was delicious. You really didn't need a car to get around the local area. The $25.00 a day parking fee was a little steep, however. Overall experience: Outstanding!!

Beware the flat $25 per day valet parking! If you look directly across the street by the Drexel University building, there is a parking deck there that will be cheaper if you're not there for most of the day (about $1.50 per hour).

Good Outcome
There were a few discrepencies. Most of them were due to being extremely booked, and a huge storm. The hotel itself is beautiful. The "happy hour" and breakfast are wonderful. They do not tell you in advance that parking is 25$ per night with no available self parking. They do not validate for the nearest garage, which is also 25$ per night. We had an issue with housekeeping, however hotel management compensated us accordingly and we will be staying at this hotel agsin in the future.
