Dumont Inn

I've stayed and booked in 100's of rooms over the past several years and i've booked most of them online, I've never had a place tell me they couldn't find my reservation adter they charged my card. Staff was unfriendly and there were prostitues in the parking lot.

The beds werent very comfortable but it was a good place to stay at the last min and for cheap!

Horrible. Room was discusting. I ask for a non smoking room and everyone around us was smoking. I even mentioned it to the clerk the next morning and she said she knew it smelled of smoke. She also said that some time people request non smoking room and then smoke in them. Frustrating! Some women knocked on my door @ 2 am looking for some dude. The shower leaked, the tiles in the bathroom were broken, the bed was very hard, wallpaper was lifting from walls...horrible!

I ask for a non smoking room and EVERYONE around us was smoking. There were drug deals going on down stairs from our room. We had a women banging on our door at 2 am looking for someone. The bathtub faucet was leaking and you couldn't get it to turn off. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and lifting. No microwave. Not even a pin to write with. When I checked in they gave me my key and sent me on my way. She asked what credit card I was going to be using and didn't even know how much the room cost was. I'll never stay at this hotel again!

Absolutely AWFUL!!! The hallways smelled like fecal matter. Our room was not clean, the beds were filthy, the toilet was clogged and would not flush, the shower head did not function, there were only two hand towels supplied, no bath towels. There was drug use and homeless people in the parking lot. On top of all this, the door to our room wouldn't shut. The worst part was that when we complained to the front desk about the condition of the room, they didn't care. Do yourself a favor, stay as far away from this hotel as you can, it should be closed by the health department.

If you are a hobo riding the rails through the Sacramento area or you are seriously strapped for cash, then you might be forced to submit to an evening at the Vagabond Inn. I was in town on business and brought my wife and kids along. Of course, since the wireless internet I was promised was not functioning and the pool was drained, the experience turned out to be unsuitable for business or pleasure. We were left with the choice of passing time in our filthy room or retreating to the Peet's Coffee across the street. We chose option 2. The only star that I can give is for the pleasantness of the desk staff, who were cheerful and tried their best to be helpful and accomodating. They deserve jobs at a much nicer hotel!

I was in town for an event being held for a client in the mid town area. It was only a one night stay otherwise I don't think I would have toughed it out. The carpet in my non smoking room had a large round burn over a foot in diameter. There was water damage on the walls in the bathroom and the drywall was swelling in more than one place. The room smelt aweful and the furnishing were old and damaged. Over all the entire room could of used a serious renovation. I could tell that efforts had been made to clean. That was the only comfort that I found in this stay. Location is great and there are lots of resturaunts close by, but there are other hotels in the area. I recomend you try one of them.

The front desk person was very helpful. There where a lot of children enjoying the pool. The hallways where filthy! The carpet needs to be replaced in the room. This is a dated hotel. It is what it is.... Good location, not clean, hard bed, but cheap.

the room was great the maids were very helpful . the office staff were very good anything i asked was given and were very good at there job.i will tell my family and friends about my stay

The Vagabond Inn Sacramento Midtown was very run down. The hallways smelled of mold with the walls covered with patches of spackeling. The carpet in the room was spotty. The side of the mattress was torn with stuffing hanging out. The air conditioner would not shut off and the window screen had a large hole. The room was large and it did have two chairs and a desk. The location was near my conference and near several restaurants and fast food places.
