BEST WESTERN Sandman Motel

A pleasant little place, out of the way; away from all the traffic and noise, but easy to get to and just minutes away from downtown. The staff was very professional, proactive, always smiling and helpful. I used the jacuzzi everyday!

For once! Totally surprised on the value. Got pushed out of town from convention overload and found this because of the good reviews. All True. Clean, nice and comfortable, not those ugly floral spreads but nice ones. Staff was helpful and friendly, was pleasant surprise the breakfast was included (nothing special, but if you're on the run, make a waffle), actually nice pool/spa. It's on the river with card access gate to the levy - super nice walk/run area along the river. I usually drop $250/night, but this was really nice! Good job guys... finally people that care.

Friendly staff, clean, updated room with plenty of amenities. Parking was convenient and available. You would not know you are within a short distance of a freeway..the rooms are quiet. I would stay here again for sure.

My wife and I stayed four nights in "Sandman's" and we found their a very good equivalent value for our money. The Motel area and the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was a good continental one.

Hotel is in a great location, close to a lot of activities.

Partner is handicapped and the bathroom was almost as big as the room. The only draw back was that the seat that you put into the tub was to wide for the tub and you had to sit it length ways. There is a great Mexican resturant in the same parking lot as the hotel. Riverwalk is close by and accessable from the hotel. Next time we are in Sacramento we will be staying there. They also have room service... something we didn't expect.

Everything is wonderful with this place. Although they say they provide Wi-Fi and I couldn't hook up to it. The Staff wasn't helpful in helping me, they only provided me with a 1-800 number to call and with that I wasn't successful at hooking up either. They should of come to my room and hooked it up for me ... such as was my experience at a previous Best Western.

Went to the Zoo, Old Town and drive around the Capitol. Kids were big enough to use the pool, which was just the right size for them.

This is a funky little hotel that was certainly first opened in the 50's. You can tell by all the crazy decore. It has definitely been remodelled recently, so the room was quite comfortable. Location didn't initially appear to be anything special, but it's location right on the American River Trail was a nice surprise. It's a short walk on the trail to get to old Sacramento. This is a great value for the price.

Nothing special here. Friendly staff, just what you'd expect.
