Budget hotel in Rohnert Park with free Internet and breakfast
Best Western Inn is a budget hotel in Rohnert Park, four miles south of Santa Rosa, in the heart of wine country. It is located off Highway 101 between Petaluma and Santa Rosa near Sonoma State University. The Best Western Inn offers many amenities including free high-speed Internet access, free breakfast, free parking, a heated outdoor pool, indoor spa tub and on-site restaurant. Clean, comfortable room at a good price
I had business in Santa Rosa, about seven miles away. Had difficulties finding a room there, so settled for Rohnert Park Best Western Inn. Room was clean, bed very comfortable and housekeeping service was excellent. Easy on/off from US 101 freeway via Rohert Park Expressway. Near several family-type restaurants and shopping, theater nearby.

Good Value, Good Location
We wanted to see the Sebastopol area. This Best Western is conveniently located and very reasonable, without the high end Sebastopol prices. Second floor room was large, clean, with 2 queen beds, inner bathroom for shower/tub and toilet, and separate outer bathroom with good size counter, sink, dressing area. Extensive continental breakfast. Motel area quiet. Staff polite and helpful.

Best "middle class" accommodations in all of Rohnert Park
Please know that we've stayed at two of the other motels within walking distance of this Best Western and they were repugnant. The other hotels have, essentially, turned into welfare hostels. The Best Western at Rohnert Park has retained a level of "middle class" decency that you won't find at the other hotels within walking distance. The bedlinens, bathroom linens, carpeting and overall decor was clean and justified the accommodations.

There's a Black Bear Diner across the highway, a short-distance drive from the motel where you'll get the best breakfasl. Don't bother with the Ihop Pancake House, it was underwhelming and the service left much to be desired. You will NOT leave hungry from the Black Bear Diner.

Average Stay
This is just an average motel with room doors opening into parking lot. I would consider this a 2 star hotel. Nothing against truck drivers but when we pulled up there were 2 trucks in the parking lot.The inside was much cleaner than expected a little outdated but very well kept. Very nice continental breakfast. I think at $89 per night it may have been a little high for the value. Very close to the interstate and could hear it inside the room.

quite clean, not a bad deal for Sonoma County
This hotel is located right off Highway 101. The exterior of the hotel is very standard, nothing fancy. The location is near the highway and very standard, not very pretty but not horrible. Check in was smooth. Room was very clean, very nice. Road noise outside the room was strong, but the windows and thick curtains did a good job at noise shielding. Room was quite clean and neat. There was good desk and chair for doing computer work in the room. WiFi was free and adequate. Breakfast was ample, though seating area was small (it was easy, though, to put breakfast on a tray and eat in room.) On the whole, this was a fine hotel for a night's sleep.

IHOP (if you allow yourself to eat this food) is just a few feet from the hotel. Also nearby is a chain burrito place and an Olive Garden chain restaurant. I didn't see any small family-run healthy restaurants, but you won't starve if you eat fast food.
