My first experience on my own

This was my first time getting a hotel on my own without any body with me or paying I came to visit my family in riverside.I loved the hotel they were very nice people no complaints the room I was very nice not what I was expected to be.they had a very nice size flat screen tv and unlike some other hotels that cost an arm and a leg lol. Santa Cruz inn is very affordable u get more than what u pay.I was very happy with my stay.

You get what you pay for

We stayed there for a wedding at the Mission Inn so we wanted something nearby but less expensive. This motel is nothing special and pretty old and used up. Other then fresh paint and semi-new frig and tv, it's an extremely budget motel and you get what you pay for. When we first arrived, the manager seemed dazed and confused and even asked if we had already paid repeatedly. Nothing against the hotel, but a little unprofessional. Once in the room, it smelled like old carpet and it felt dirty. The a/c is a wall unit that would turn off and on and was very loud. The bed felt small for a queen and uncomfortable. Lastly, we wanted to sleep in but couldn't because of the lack of insulation, we heard conversations going on outside that would eventually wake us up (not that we slept that well anyways). Like I said, you get what you pay for. If you want something better and are willing to pay more for, then go to the Marriott across the street.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

I don't why somebody would go to Riverside in the first place, but check out the Mission Inn, very elegant historical landmark and authentic old hotel. The bar is classy and the food is good.

Great Place

We came to Riverside, for a long week end, to see my daughter graduate. It was wonderful, as i saw her every day, though most of time was hanging around at the hotel. WiFi, TV, etc., with a short walk you could be away from busy streets to single family residence's which were gorgious. The time in the hotel/motel was very relaxing in the beautifully maitained historic grounds.
