This hotel is decorated in the nautical style - very beautiful. It is right on the water. They provide free bike rentals which is a plus since you can hit the boardwalk and beach right away.

Nice Hotel for Redondo Beach

We had a very pleasant five night stay in late March 2015. The hotel is nice with plenty of parking and the staff are always happy to help. There are plenty of eating choices around and the beach at Redondo is a quiet gem. We found it good for swimming as the waves are smaller than on other LA beaches. It is around 40 minutes to Santa Monica and Buena Park and the traffic is quiet by local standards. We would recommend taking bikes up the Strand on Hermosa Beach

Winter Getaway

The Portifino at Redondo Beach was great. Clean and comfortable. I just didn't like paying the $27 parking for overnight vehicles.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Try not to rent or bring a car if you can. But if out of the area travel is necessary, have a car is probably best.

Quick stay

Location was great. $26 for parking, valet or self, was extremely overpriced. The Baleen restaurant was great for breakfast and had good service.

Amazing view of the harbor

View at sunset was a perfect way to end a long day! We upgraded our room to a suite and unbeknownst to us were put into a handicap suite ... Would have been nice to tell us in advance. Not enough doors for privacy in the bathroom but we made it work with 5 people staying in one room with a king bed, a double pullout and a rollaway bed. Location was easy and a bike ride or long walk to the beach. Hotel provides free bikes. Several chain restaurants within walking distance. Service was fine but not outstanding. Pool was small. Restaurant on property has good food.

Abigaile restaurant near Hermosa Beach pier ... Unique food tapas style with cool decor and atmosphere. Great for a family or group.

great location

It was nice and smells wonderful. However, it was muggy and it look like there was mold on the doors and parts of the wall.
