good location
nice walk to pier had a great time, but the breakfast is not good, jacuzzi closes early and is small, room is okay but wasn't ready at check in.

It's L.A.
First you have to remember that it is cheap place. It is clean, comfortable and staff is very friendly but it isn't 5 star hotel. So as a cheap motel in graet place (near the beach, 6 miles away from an airport) is really good deal. Room is clean, quite big and has TV, Microwave, fridge. Furniture are a little bit old but comfy enough. Good as starting point to exploring Los Angeles.

Excellent Location, blocks away from the beach... Friendly Staff, clean rooms with awesome fridge and microwave... Beds are comfortable...very clean!

quick trip
The room was just used as a place to sleep. I was too busy to do anything else. Just a few blocks from the redondo beach pier. I saved a bunch of cash on the room, the avg. Price for the area was 135 to 150 a night. 1980's decoration and price. Only thing negative to say is to clean up the old cig. Butts in the stairwell.

DISGUSTING!!
Do not stay here! I thought you couldn't go wrong being 2 blocks from the beach, but you definitely can with this place! We stayed in what they called the handicap room and across from the room with a bunch of trash and abandoned cleaning supplies. It was horrid! I even saw a rat run from one trash can to another! I immediately went to the front desk and wanted a refund. She was very rude. She assited every one that walked in after me and left me standing there. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

Badlands
Redondo Pier Hotel
OK, 2 Stars, you are skating on thin ice, with any hotel. The location is very good, but the hotel itself is lacking. There seems to be construction going on, and this seems to be the case for some time now. The manager was nice enough, but the room was ultra spartan, but seemed clean enough. The beds were probably the hardest uncomfortable things I have ever tried to sleep on. The linen was clean, but badly wrinkled, bad pad on the bed, and cheap coverings. The maid didn't make much of an attempt to clean, and I was short washcloths. Nothing on the walls, no info etc, no comfy seat to sit in. Most of all, the wifi did not work, and when it did make a feeble attempt to get me on the net, it fell out. The manager , after my stay was over said they were having problems with the internet. Thanks !. If the place was re done and sorted out with new beds etc, it would be fine.
