I could even take off my socks!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Redding, CA Travelodge. We had booked this hotel because we were visiting Bethel Church. I have to say that this is one of the cleanest hotels that I have ever stayed in! It was so clean that I felt comfortable to take off my socks! That is saying allot when we are the type of people that brings disinfectant spray to every hotel. The cleaning staff spent HOURS on cleaning the rooms. They were there early and did not leave until late afternoon. That is allot of cleaning for such a small hotel. I know clean rooms are a major concern to them. I overheard the front desk explaining to a customer how they clean their pet rooms differently and how it take them longer. They use special products to clean pet rooms. It was stated that they have to take longer to clean because they want to make sure that the next person that stays with their animal, does not have any allergic reaction to the previous customer and pet. The personal handled the situation in a very professional and kind manner. The staff was the friendliest ever! You were always greeted with a very warm and inviting smile. Everyone from the maid, maintenance or front desk everyone always had a positive greeting for you. The free breakfast was awesome. I know you have to drive about 3 miles to get to the restaurant, but it was worth it. We received fast service, hot and taste food. How many hotels do you get a "TRUE HOT" breakfast anymore? There was one morning that we did not have the time to drive, so the hotel gave us a packet of food. It had a fruit cup, yogurt, granola bar and a cheese stick. It was sufficient. Since time was more important to us that morning. There is also fresh fruit and coffee in the lobby. The only thing I would say is if you are looking for a 5 star amenities and luxury, this hotel might not be the hotel for you. The beds were better than average and the hot tub was nice. I would give the hot tub and beds a three to four star rating. But remember, do not compare a 5 star fancy hotel to this little Travelodge. Go pay twice as much and quit comparing. Do not compare apples with oranges! It definitely served our needs. It was better than our expectations! The value and price was awesome. I can not say enough good things about the Travelodge in Redding, CA. We will stay there again on our next trip to Redding, CA.

Just what I needed
The room was everything I needed (a bed and bathroom) and more (kitchen). Great stay at a great price. And breakfast, although a mile away, was wonderful! Perfect start for my day.

Everything one needs for a good night sleep except a comfortable bed.
We were greeted by a friendly clerk who helped us find a great spot for dinner and was extremely courteous. The room was clean, orderly and of decent size. All the amenities promised were there. However, the mattress was horrible. They missed out on, in my opinion, the most important reason we booked the room...to get a good night's sleep. Didn't happen.

Maritime Seafood and Grill, while not recommended by the desk clerk, was phenomenal. A true four star restaurant.

so-so
Room had a stale musty odor. Bed was old and lumpy. No elevator. Office. Staff was friendly but didn't tell the whole truth. Breakfast is down the road a few miles. Or you can have a yogurt and a granola bar. But restaurant is opening at 6am. We said we are leaving no later than 6am, so we'd take the sack meal. The problem came in the morning. They close the office at night and don't open til 7am. Nice of them to not tell me that. Stay elsewhere and you'll be glad you did.

Let Me Sleep Please!!!!!!!!!
I chose this place as I went through all the motels in Reading and this one seemed to have the less complaints. After flying up from LA to Oregon and a 2 hour shuttle to my sons college and 6 hours to this place all in one.day I'm. Beat. At 9:30 the maid bangs on my door. I tell her go away we are still resting. The maid comes back 15 minutes later and bangs on my door again. I got 9 hours more to drive and I don't need this irritation.

Best hotel in price range in Redding!
This hotel was in the perfect location for Bethel Church and the surrounding National Forests. The price is great and sending us to Lumberjacks with a discount card was a great bonus for breakfast. Even the breakfast box you get is pretty well stocked. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

My favorite hotel in Redding
My husband and I and another delegate stayed here while attending a church convention at the convention center. The hotel is within easy driving distance of the convention center and directions to and from are fairly straight forward. We regularly stay here when we are in Redding for church or school business and are always pleased. Our friend was new to the Travelodge and she kept commenting on how nice it was. We did stay one year over on Hilltop, motel and fast food row, and were not as happy with our stay, basically paying more for less. The whole motel is NO SMOKING which meant that the rooms smelled fresh. They were clean and well kept. In room amenities included an iron and board, small refrigerator and microwave. Light pollution bothers me and we could not get the room dark enough until the second night we draped the bedspread over the drapes. There is a heated pool outside and a jacuzzi in the exercise room. It smelled heavily of chlorine. We didn't have time to use the pool, but it seemed nice. The staff was very helpful and polite. We got tickets for a hot breakfast at the Lumberjacks restaurant a short drive down the freeway. The breakfast was good and offered refills on the coffee. There was also an option for a box breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.

Short walk from hotel
The hotel is a pleasant walk away from the park on the Sacramento River. There is a nice thrift store on the way.
