Motel 6 Redding South

Very Clean and pleasant. Wonderful time. Just needed a few more towels

location was pretty good,close to resturants and stores.the parking at motel left something to be desired,parking was littered with cigerett butts and beer cans,air in the room didnt work very well,lots of noise all nite long,i wont stay there again.

Check-in was easy and friendly; great quiet location with restaurants and shopping close driving distance; room was clean and comfortable

This Motel 6 is everything you should expect in a low budget motel. It is very clean, safe and easy check in and out. The pool was nothing fancy but very well maintained. I would stay here again and would recommend this to Motel 6 to anyone on a budget.

Well, now I remember why I became a snob when it comes to where I elect to stay when away from home. I read the reviews and noted that one had said something about having to check-in via a by-pass window. What I wasn't expecting was to pull in a few minutes past 10 p.m. and have that be considered a late-night check in. In addition, the window is located right next to the ice machines. Trying to converse with the individual on the other side of the window was beyond difficult as the ice machines generally makes noise, but several guests were also filling up while I was there. Then, when I got to my room, I realized there was no clock. Apparently, none of their rooms have one. At least that is what I was told when checking out. I was pleased to find clean sheets. However, after trying to go to sleep, my hip bone was digging into the bed. Granted, I'm no longer a small girl. This is not a usual problem for me. However, the bed was so hard, sleeping was beyond difficult as I am a side sleeper and the bed firmness (rock hard...not your standard hard mattress) required that I sleep on my back. I like a firm mattress, but that was way too hard. In addition, I had to listen to what sounded like a coffee pot percolating all night. It wasn't the AC as I thought/feared. But I couldn't quite narrow down where the sound was coming from. The shower head was also very low! I'm a small gal, so it was okay. Anyone slightly over 5 feet will find it challenging though. They did have the curtain that allowed for plenty of elbow room; no bathroom fan however. There was only one small towel. I was in a corner unit so sound wasn't too bad. I could hear those above me walking around though until just after midnight. I didn't hear any highway noise, which was appreciated. When I left, I wanted to ask where I could find a car wash. However, the gentleman at the front desk was not friendly. I decided to chance it and hit the road--dirty windshield and all.

When we arrived, the air conditioner was not on so we had to wait quite awhile (it was about 100 degrees) for it to cool down. It was your basic Motel 6, no frills

Overall hotel was good, even better than expected from one star. Room has a/c, fridge, microwave. Hotel has Wi-Fi but you have to pay 2.99 per day for access.

I had a Friday night overnight stay at this hotel. I arrived about 11:00 PM. There were people hanging around outside. The wouldn't let us come into the lobby to check in. We had to do the transaction through a little window like they use at fast food restaurants in a bad neighborhood. They were out of non-smoking rooms so we had to take a smoking room. The room smelled like a smoker was blowing smoke right in your face. On the flipside the room was clean.

I was just staying to see a friend, but I requested a non smoking room but I could still smell reminence of cigerette smoke.. The shower fluctuated from hot and cold for the entire shower.. The beds were not very comfortable.

I slept well. The room was comfortable. Heater worked great!
