Great food, 27-hole golf course and a gorgeous setting near San Diego

Charming but could be updated
The room is charming and located in a beautiful location. However having had stayed in a multitude of hotels, this one just seems a bit out-dated. For being around the Del Mar horse racing and the wonderful golf course, I expected those things to have been incorporated into the design of the hotel.

Very nice environment
It is a very nice location and the golf is providing a beautiful landscape. The rooms are large and comfortable. The service is good and discrete. The food is good, although a bit expensive.

Worked Perfectly
Stayed at Morgan Run for 8 nights over Christmas whilst visiting family. It was a perfect base for our trip. We had a refurbished room on the upper floor of one of the three blocks. Do not go expecting a full scale holiday resort - it is a golf / tennis club for locals that has rooms - if you go knowing that it works well. We got a great deal on the room which made it ideal for what we wanted.

Quird pleasant stay as base of San Diego golf experiment
People at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Golfshop people with the exception of the starter are arrogant and the green fees charged for hotelguests are out of the current market for greenfees at better and more demanding golfcourses.

Christmas Vacation
The room at the hotel was awsome, it had a golf course view. The course was in good shape, I will definately be going back when the del mar meet is running this summer.

The dinning room serve's very good food, but everything you buy comes with a 20% sevice charge, that no one tells you about. I bought a round of drinks at bar and the bill had an $8.00 service charge on it. So look out for that.

Needs maintenance!!!
This hotel needs some TLC. Leaking Toilet, Door that didn't automatically locked, a matress so caved, it'll give you a backache in the morning!

Family Visit
I stayed at this hotel because it is conveniently situated for the family I was visiting. The rooms are great and the staff are friendly and polite. The front desk staff are very accomodating and did all they could to make sure I had whatever I needed.

Excellent!
The room was a nonsmoking king bed.. Very clean and neat. The decor was very tasteful and the flat screen was a plus. Everything worked properly, and for the price, I thought is was a steal! The bed was very, very comfortable... I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.. As a matter of fact I plan to stay there again soon... Excellent!!!!
