Nice trip!
Spent 5 days here with two small kids, ages 2 & 4 - They had a great time. We were located in building 47 which is pretty far from the main pool - I'm glad they had a small pool by our area. You need to get to the pool pretty early if you want to get a seat, it got pretty crowded. Hotel staff was pleasant enough, we didn't need much attention - when we called for extra towels or anything they showed up pretty quick. Location is great - everything that we planned on doing was a short drive from the hotel. (e.g. children's discovery museum, zoo/"desert living", etc.).

A good vacation
All and all this was a nice hotel that provided good value for what we paid. We have two kids and the premium 1 bedroom villa worked nicely especially with the kitchen and BBQ to cook stuff ourselves. The pool(s) were great for all aged kids and the location from the airport and surrounding towns was excellent. The only bummer was the $15 per-day parking fee and the fairly expensive food/drinks at the pool; although the pool happy hour from 4-6pm was pretty nice. I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars

Had a blast!
We loved the Wyndham Mission Hills resort. The facilities were plentiful, staff excellent, and resort beautiful. I am not sure about the folks who gave it poor ratings as they must have unreasonable expectations, this was a beautiful resort and we had a wonderful stay!

If you go to the mountain to take the tram and hike, dress very warm! Loads of beautiful places to hike nearby, we also enjoyed Taquitz Canyon and the Coachella Presever.

Fun with friends
We only stayed one night but we enjoyed it very much! It is a relaxing place to have a getaway and we hope to return for a longer stay soon. The only problem we found was that the rooms are a little dark - not much area for light from the outside to get in. Beautiful property but on the expensive side.

Beautiful resort and villas, but...
I booked a 2 night stay in an upgraded suite (large square footage, king bed, jacuzzi tub). After checking in and entering my room, I noticed it was not very large, had a queen bed, and no jacuzzi tub. A call to the front desk informed me that because it was late and the front desk that handles the villa portion of the property was closed, there was nothing anyone could do for me until the morning. Strike 1. In the morning, I headed over to the "proper" front desk and explained my issue. I had my confirmation information on my phone, which I showed to the employee. I was informed that I had to forward the e-mail to her, which I did. She then could not find said e-mail, so I had to go over to the business center to print out a copy myself, which she then disappeared with to speak with the manager behind closed doors. No face-to-face contact from the manager at all. When she returned, she informed me that they would assign me the proper room and credit me the parking charge of $20 "for my inconvenience." I asked, what about the fact that I paid at least $40 more for the room upgrade which I never received, because I had spent the night in the standard room? I was informed that because they were unable to look up the particular rates for that night, there was nothing they could do. So in other words, I paid $20 more for a room that I did not want in the first place, and the hotel could do nothing for me. I also find it highly unlikely that the Westin is unable to look up historical rates on their rooms, or compare it to an upcoming date instead. Strike 2. On the morning of my check-out, I discovered that the Heavenly Shower in my room was broken. After showering with the tiny handheld showerhead instead, I called the front desk to let them know so they could fix it for future guests, and to again express my displeasure with the overall experience. I was told that if I wanted, I could have a late checkout...as I was on my way out the door. Strike 3. Mix-ups happen. Things break. This is understandable. It's how you make it right that matters. There was not even a genuine attempt at an apology (parking charge credit that was less than the difference I paid, a late check-out that I could not use). This was extremely disappointing, especially for a Westin property. This is a full-fledged resort with a spa and restaurants. A full or partial credit towards using these facilities would have certainly made me feel better, in addition to getting me to stay on the property and spend more money! I could have also been offered a discount on my next night's stay (for example, the upgraded room at the standard room rate, which I'm sure could have been looked up) or had my room service charge waived. There were plenty of opportunities to make an effort to turn me into a satisfied customer, and none of them were taken. This is not the level of service I would expect from a Westin, and I hope this feedback will do a small bit of good for future customers. I will not be one of them.

Relax in the Sun
Beautiful room
This is a family resort. If you are looking for quiet relaxing pool time - this may not be the place for you. Loved our room, balcony, kitchen, and fireplaces. Some balconys are in shade all day and others get sun. If you want sun - ask for it. Promised flat screen TVs but did not get them. Washer and dryer are very loud.

Great Getaway Location!
Hotel was very nice, pool is great and open late! Loved that they had community bbq grills. One big downside for me is that they charge $15 for parking per day. Other than that, had a great stay!
