GOOD STAY

Had a good stay here it was quiet despite being located by the freeway. Enjoyed using the little kitchen helped save a lot on fast food just wish there was a skillet. The only downfall was that you can only get your room serviced after being here 6 Days! HOWEVER,, you can haul your dirty towels and bedding to the front desk and wait for them to wash them or switch them.

You get what you pay for

I opted for a less expensive night than I usually book. The front desk staff was super kind and helpful. Our room was on the side facing the freeway and was very loud when the window was open for fresh air. The carpet was stained, bathroom had signs of bleached out mold, dead bugs here and there and the blankets were also stained but the sheets were clean. The mattress was worn out and I had a really hard time sleeping. Over all I wouldn't stay again, I prefer to spend more and be a bit more comfortable. In a jam or a last minute save this would have worked.

Good for the price

The staff was helpful and professional. The furniture in the room was obviously worn a bit but the room was clean and the small kitchenette was especially nice. This hotel is in a safe area and in a good location if you want to squeeze in a little outdoor recreation. There is great access to the freeway so it is easy to go either downtown or spend a day up near Tahoe. Lake Natoma, Folsom Lake, and the American River are a very short drive away so it is fisherman friendly. This is a good hotel if you want to pay a very low price . The $40 rate I got was great and there were no extra hidden fees.

If you like fishing, check to see what type of fish are running in the American River during your trip. Key species are Salmon, Steelhead, and American Shad. There are also Striped Bass in the river year round but be sure to check for special regulations during Salmon and Steelhead runs. Both the Sunset Bridge and Nimbus Dam are within 10 minutes away by car. Good Striper fishing below Nimbus Dam during the summer.
