Seacrest Resort
My now Fiance and I stayed at this Hotel over the weekend. Not only is Pismo Beach just a gorgeous, relaxing and romantic place to go but Seacrest Hotel was just perfect place to stay! My fiance went and checked us in and asked that our room was super special because he was going to propose to me. We had a beautiful terrace on the 4th floor overlooking the most beautiful view. We walked down to this huge rock above the ocean and watched the sunset together and as we were watching...he propose:) The beach is about 5 min walking distance, The hot tub was perfect because it wasn't crowded...We got to share about an hour with no other people there. anything we asked the front desk to bring to us, they had it there within minutes...One of the best parts about our stay is that we kept the terrace door open all night so you can here the waves from the ocean. oh and my fiance wants to make sure to talk about our breakfast. They had everything from waffles, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit...we ate our breakfast by the pool and staff made sure the fire pits and heaters were going so everyone was comfortable, the view of course was amazing while we ate. pismo is Perfection if you need a romantic, relaxing, chill getaway like we did:)

Try Steamers Restaurant, great food, live music and cocktails:) we had Brushetta & Crabcakes to start. I had clam chowder and my fiance had Seabass entree for dinner plus two beers, and two double crown and cokes....under $80.00...not bad priced and delish food!

Nice...for a wedding.
The wife and I stayed at the Sea Crest this past weekend for the first time. It is a beautiful hotel, perfectly positioned on a cliff overlooking the ocean. There was easy beach access via a stairway only a few dozen yards from our patio. The spa was nice, as was the pool. Our room was neat and clean, though it did have a strong musty smell when we first arrived. Easily rectified by opening the back sliding glass door and letting the sea breeze in. Our sole complaint regarding our weekend at the Sea Crest was not as a result of the accommodations or the facility, but other guests. The hotel had scheduled a wedding party on Saturday. Arrangements and setup for the wedding were performed starting around 2pm and the wedding festivities lasted well into the night. Too far in to the night, as it turned out... Though the wedding ended, there were large groups of partying folks hanging around and drinking for hours and hours afterward (our last complaint to the front desk was at 3am when folks were still having a good ol' time). I get it, and I understand it, but being that these folks were in groups of say 5-10 people, scattered about the pool area (30 feet from our patio door), we couldn't help but be kept awake by their laughing and carousing. Closing the patio door did not help to lower the noise significantly...but it did take a lot away from the much anticipated sounds of the ocean at night. My wife was upset, but she's getting over it. Unlike other guests whom I met while checking out in the lobby... Several of which demanded a refund for the Saturday night charge as a result of the loud noise made by the wedding. If the hotel could have controlled the partying at say midnight, I would have had no reasonable complaints about the Sea Crest or our stay there. But tossing and turning with a raging party 30' from your 'oceanview' patio at 3:30 am got the best of us, I'm afraid. I would only suggest that the hotel attempt to handle the guest complaints in a more timely fashion in the future, as we were certainly not the only folks to call and complain about the noise. Perhaps another suggestion might be to check with the hotel prior to booking to ensure that no weddings/parties have been scheduled during your planned Anniversary weekend. Believe me, the wife will let you know how it was 'ruined' by such a detail if you don't.... Otherwise, you'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful or modern 'on the beach' hotel in Pismo;)

Nightlife tip:
In Hotel
If you're looking for 'The' party hot-spot in Pismo Beach, you are only feet away from it while staying at the Sea Crest Resort. Simply open your back patio door to excitement at virtually ANY hour of the night and join the P-A-R-T-Y!!!! From dusk-till-dawn, the Sea Crest resort/nightclub will satisfy your need to let loose! You don't need a taxi, just stumble a few feet back through your patio door and into a spinning bed of party-action!! (make sure it's your room, as there may be a couple non-partiers at the hotel, too;) Always plan ahead and ask the hotel prior to booking what a good weekend to P-A-R-T-Y would be, then bring your glow sticks to the pool/spa area in the courtyard at the center of the hotel and rave it up till the sun comes up!!!

Weekend getaway.....
We booked a weekend getaway (2 nights)for our Birthdays...we checked in and our room which was in the original mid century building of the resort...the room was nicely designed with modern mid century inspired furniture and accessories...our view was of the pool and hot tubs, and beyond was the Pacific ocean....we left our sliding door open, but closed the california shutters overnight, and heard the waves crashing and the smell of salt air....so relaxing....the staff was very friendly and helpful...we loved it and will return....

Last minute trip
We booked our trip last minute on labor day weekend and were surprised to even get a room. Oceanview was nice but the room was a little less than awesome. Wallpaper peeling off in a few areas of the room but the worst was finding a silverfish bug sitting on top of the desk. After that we kept wondering what else we might be sharing the room with. This is our fourth time staying here and this our first bad experience. It's a nice place and the location is great, but one bad experience seems to have a way of erasing the good times. Would probably stay again but be kind of leary about it.

Great location and ocean view!
We stayed in one of the ocean view rooms with King size bed and enjoyed every moment of it! We really enjoyed the view and the sound of the ocean waves rolling in during both day and night. We were on vacation to celebrate our one year anniversary and sea crest was just perfect. It's location was ideal for us as it's close to Avila beach and San Luis Obispo! The complimentary breakfast is just what you'd expect, bagels, toast, cold cereal, etc. In all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again!
