Room was clean but not fully stocked with supplies. A request to the front desk resulted in a few towels. No glasses to ... drink from but $1.50 bottles of water were provided, a small vile of shampoo showed up, nothing else. I would have no problem with this level of service in a cut-rate motel but this was full price. Do yourself a favor and check the Spa Resort and Casino first, great service and facilities there.

"Mini Suite" really a hotel room.
Leah Mc, Wedding Guest Nov 17, 2009
We were in town for 4 nights for a wedding. We had friends staying at a rental house, so actually spent most of our time ... there and used the hotel as a place to get ready and then to sleep. The hotel was clean enough, though decor was quite dated. The walls were paper thin and you could literally hear every word your neighbors said. It was listed as a "suite" with refrigerator and microwave, but was really a hotel room with tiny refrigerator (a gallon of milk could fit in, on it's side) and small microwave and a regular restroom type sink...all in your bedroom. It was cheap and clean and in a nice location. The kids loved the pool. Continental breakfast was nice, though we had to go elsewhere to find "good" coffee. Our coffee maker in the room was broken and not replaced during our stay (though we didn't care, see above). The bed was comfortable (and I'm pretty picky about that). The free wireless internet didn't work in our room, but we had our wireless broadband card, so didn't care about that either. We're used to staying in rental condos so I may be overly harsh about details, but overall the message is that you get what you pay for. Palm Springs is wonderful in November...even if you're from Florida!

Great Getaway!
Big Daddy Jul 20, 2009
Very nice looking hotel, got into our room & it appeared someone was in there earlier, bed was messed up a little, batroom ... towel was used. Reported to the front desk, did'nt seem to care much. Gave us another room on second floor, real inconvienence. Once we were in our room it was great, very clean, nice room. Pool was fantastic, if you are going to just relax and sit in the pool all day & hit the casino at night then Shilo Inn is the place.

Weekend Getaway
Papa Bear Jul 19, 2009
Courteous staff. Very clean rooms. Nice Billy Reeds Restaurant across the street; food was very good! Convenient liquor/food ... store in walking distance. Great having 2 separate pools; an "adult" and a "family/childrens" pool. The one thing I would prefer when making reservations online, is to have a chart (layout) of the hotel rooms so that the rooms can be reserved in advance and when you check in, you get the room you reserved...not getting there, and being told the room you thought you were reserving is not available! Will save lots of time for you and the staff trying to locate the room you want!! Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return to this hotel!!!!

Great hotel at a great price
Southern Oregon Traveller Jul 14, 2009
A very relaxing & quiet property; good AC in room (it gets very hot in Palm Springs). 2 pools; big rooms; tiled floors. TV ... could be better (They have a limited # of TV channels to watch - around 12. I like to watch TV so would have preferred a few dozen. Also, no HD channels.) Continental breakfast.

Wish I could have seen the LAKERS on TV!
Disappointed Jun 20, 2009
I go to Palm Springs to visit my Mom who is in a nursing home. I go there to see her and my brother who live there. The ... trip is more out of desire to check in than pleasure. The TV is a source of catching up with what is going on the S. CA. The booklet in my room said the the LA channels were accessible. NOT SO, even after I call 3 time to ask why them they never showed up on the channel selections or as stated in the room booklet. I don't think I will return even though the comfort of the bed was better than a differ place I have stayed at in the past. Disappointed

Blue Coyote on Palm Canyon was great! Liked Sherman's, it is on the south side of the road that leads to the airport just east of Indian Canyon. Manhattan Restaurant, just east of Sunrise Way on Palm Canyon (after it turns east) has the most amazing deserts!! Exploring the various restaurants in the area has been fun and going to Palm Desert and shopping at Fresh Produce on El Paseo is always a fun journey.

Good Hotel for the Money
Ayesha May 28, 2009
We used their airport shuttle which picked us up and brought us to the hotel promptly. When looking at the site and the hotel ... description it boasts of on arrival fresh fruits and coffee. There was none. My boyfriend and I saw cookies behind the counter but none was offered to us. We were barely greeted by the staff. No one so far had been very welcoming or nice. We checked in and had a room on the second floor. No elevator, so had to drag bags up one flight. We got into the room and it looked just like in the pictures (what a relief after reading some of the other reviews) The room was clean and everything worked. The room was bigger that your average size hotel room giving us much more room. There are 2 pools one for adults and one for kids. There were kids in both pools which was a little annoying. There was a continental breakfast which was just what i expected: cereal, juice, bagels, muffins. It was sufficient for a breakfast snack. Upon check out the hotel attempted to charge be again for the room even though they I already paid through orbitz. That was quickly fixed. After we left my bf realized he left his book in the room. We called the hotel and they offered to mail it to us which was great. For the price good room and location for the money but staff could have been nicer and more engaging.

Sherry and Gary May 28, 2009
We chose this hotel/location so we could visit Joshua Tree National Park and visit family in the area. The grounds were ... beautiful and clean with two outdoor pools to relax in and around at night. Housekeeping did not come until early afternoon. Recycle bins not available, this surprised us. Otherwise, clean, big comfortable room. Would definitely return here again. Service was very friendly. Good cookies, too!

The WORST hotel ever!!!
Not 1 to complain! May 27, 2009
This place was awful! We had to wait in line for 1/2 hour to check in, it was dirty, and a small pool that was right by the ... busy street. They provided a coffee maker without the coffee pot, when we called to ask them to bring one up, they never came. We checked in at 4pm and left at 9 pm..... Way overpriced for what it is! reminded me of a dirty motel...
