Surprisingly, a pleasant stay
There was adequate amount of free parking & the continental breakfast was ok, no variation, but good coffee. I liked the fact that there was an adult pool & another one for the families. It was quiet & restful, dispite being located on the main route of Palm Springs, even over the New Years weekend! The only negative aspect was the stairs to the second floor to haul up two heavy suitcases, no elevator. When I visit this area again, I'll probably choose Shilo Inn, as I felt safe & comfortable in this motel.

When you get tired of the continental breakfast, eat @ Ricks' restaurant, just next to the Shilo Inn or Billy Reeds' restaurant, just across the street.

Reception desk was friendly and courteous. Room was lovely and they honored request for room that satisfied disabilities. They are 2 stories and do not have an elevator. They only had 1 bath towel per person, Had to request a 2nd towel,

Best budget one
Clean, comfortable with all I need, like wifi, microwave, pool, free parking... Of course, break first... Free. Highly recommended.

It is affordable which include all you need.
We picked this hotel because it's close to the tram. We come here just for the snow trip. The room is pretty good size for the family. It includes a microwave, a small coffee maker ,a hair dryer which come very handy. The furniture and room decoration looks a bit old but clean. The price includes the continental breakfast which is very reasonable. The heated family pool is a good size. The jacuzzi tub was hot but the jet did not work other than that we're very happy.

Very pleased
Cleanliness is my biggest thing. Room was very clean and it appeared it had a few updates. Furniture looked like it had recently been recovered, nice and clean, not worn, and no stains! Room was good size and bed had a decent mattress. Hotel staff was very friendly.

Best Bargain in Palm Springs
Shilo continues to be the best value in the city of Palm Springs -- big, suite-sized rooms, nice balconies, kitchen area with refrigerator, and now new flat-screen TVs, new beds and microwaves, plus free breakfast (with eggs!), free wi-fi in the rooms and free internet and coffee in the lobby. Two pools and jacuzzis (one set for adults only) and free sauna and steam room, The only drawback is the cheap furniture, other than those new beds. Someone could take this place over, put a few bucks into the rooms and make Shilo the premiere resort in town, it's that good!

value for the price
the room and property were fine, what i expected for the price of the room. i have stayed there twice for an overnight stay and it has worked out fine. it would not hurt for the rooms/public spaces be updated soon, some wear is starting to show. location is good, easy to get downtown, easy access to the freeway.

Electrical nightmare
only one of the electrical outlets in the room worked, and the air conditioner didn't actually cool down until 1am. The hotel staff were nice though.
