At Riviera Palm Springs, guests feel like members of Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack. Rooms feature decor and furnishings inspired by the coolness of the 1960s. Funky, high-backed chairs and padded headboards evoke the best of that era, while luxuriant comforters and flat-screen TVs make rooms feel ultra-modern.

Fun in the Desert Sun!
This is our absolutely favorite resort to stay at out in Palm Springs. First of all, the hotel itself is beautiful. I just love the chic decor, bold colors and cool vibe. The rooms are roomy and have comfortable beds and beautiful furnishings. We've stayed there twice now and each time, the staff is so helpful and friendly. When you pass anyone who works at the hotel, they always greet you with a "good morning" or "have a great day". The pool is probably the best part of the stay. It's fairly large, but it does get REALLY busy, so you don't want to sleep in too long, or it will be difficult to get a spot. Great cocktails and food service out by the pool too. It's definitely a party vibe though, probably not the best for families with young children. This resort is also in a great location, just about a mile away from many of the restaurants downtown.

Excellent Resort - Perfect for a Wedding
The Riviera was excellent. We stayed there this past weekend for a wedding, which was being held on-site. From the food and cocktails to the rooms (The beds were extremely comfortable) and the full resort's decor, it all screams luxury with a fun vibe. I really don't have anything negative at all to say about it. For the event capabilities, I'd also say that the Riviera is top notch. The wedding we attended was stylish, fun and an over-all excellent experience.

Definitely check out Sidebar next to the restaurant - the bartenders there really know how to mix a drink, unlike the pool bars.

Loud memorial weekend!
first time here. Hot weekend and we reserved a week in advance. Nobody told us that we needed to RESERVE a chair, daybed or cabana by the pool. All was reserved when we got there. We were travelling with our 3 year old daughter and the pool "experience" was a disaster. We were under 95 degrres with no shade and with a toddler. There was a "waiting list"; what a JOKE; plenty of corruption there and absolutely no control. A great dissappointment....

was there 1st weekend of july, so summer break. you stay there for the pool experience...and the employees are very nice. had a fantastic time at pool. very crowded like club. all there were very cool. would suggest a cabana just so you have your own area to hang out with your friends. would not bring my kids here. adults only.

AMAZING STAFF & SERVICE
The staff was amazing. Prior to checking in I was delayed and requested that my party be able to check in without me. It was no problem. Everyone from bellmen to the assistant front office manager, Oscar Trani went above and beyond. I look forward to my next visit.

Riveria Has Great Potential
I checked orbitz before booking our hotel and read the reviews. Looks like the previous review highlighting inadequate service was spot on. To provide a balanced review, here were good points: booked a pool view room but none were available upon check, they compensated by upgrading us to a junior suite (very nice). Circa 59 doesn't allow you to book reservations on the weekend online - call ahead, it fills up fast (great food, pricey). For the negative - they didn't have enough servers working the pool area (5 folks serving over 200) on Saturday. They also allow folks who live out in town to use the pool (?) so there wasn't any room for folks staying there to put their towel down (at 10:00 AM on a Saturday). Also, they scheduled a fashion show in the lobby on Friday night which was odd - as you had to literally walk down the runway to exit the resort. All in all, it has great potential, but until service improves, not worth 4 star prices.
