Chic, glamorous hotel evokes the feeling of 1960s Palm Springs

Riviera Palm Springs is a luxurious center of ultra-chic cool. The iconic resort underwent an extensive, $70 million renovation that resulted in sumptuous rooms, outdoor fire pits, tented pool, gardens and Thai-inspired spa. The decor is a blend of rich colors and retro furniture, evoking the feeling of 1960s Palm Springs while still offering modern amenities. Riviera Palm Springs combines the best of the past and present, in a property suffused with glamour.

  • Recent major renovations to property and rooms
  • Outdoor fire pits, gardens and tented pool area
  • Thai-inspired spa
  • 1960s era design elements throughout hotel

At Riviera Palm Springs, guests feel like members of Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack. Rooms feature decor and furnishings inspired by the coolness of the 1960s. Funky, high-backed chairs and padded headboards evoke the best of that era, while luxuriant comforters and flat-screen TVs make rooms feel ultra-modern.

Riviera Palm Springs offers a range of room options. The Riviera King guestrooms offer patios or balconies, iPod/DVD/computer stations and luxury bedding. Suites may include separate sitting areas, workstation desks, views of the pool and separate dining area. The two-bedroom Presidential Suite includes a personal patio with fire pit, wet bar and private Jacuzzi.

Distinctive cuisine and cocktails are served at Circa 59 Restaurant, offering eco-friendly fish, premium cuts of meat and locally-grown produce.

In the evening, the illuminated pool area of Riviera Palm Springs transforms into a cocktail party. Servers in bikinis deliver creatively mixed cocktails as guests lounge on oversized futons. A handwoven, thatched hut above the pool deck gives guests the feeling of 1960s Palm Springs.

Riviera Palm Springs 11,000 square-foot spa features exotic Balinese, Thai and Indonesian body treatments designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa boasts 18 therapy rooms, Watsu pool, hot tub, steam room, fitness center and full-service salon.

very friendly place.

Had to upgrade room for $35. We wanted a patio. Really great food, service, and atmosphere. Decor was a little load. Staff was always friendly and wanted to please. Great place. Would go back.

The hotel and staff were so nice. It ended up being much better than the discription or how I thought it would be. The main focus of the hotel seemed the be customer satisfaction. I didnt think such a thing still exist in this day and age but thats what they offer you. They only want to pamper and provide excellent service to the guest and is now my permanent vacation spot!

Girls weekend get away

Friendly staff, beautiful pool and grounds with fire pits. The restaurant was also very good. But if your a single woman this property can be a little scary at night due to being a very large property with long hall ways its secluded and could be a little scary.

not worth it

the service was incredibly mediocre. We arrived early and even tho the lobby wasn't busy, they didn't have rooms ready for check in. When I went back four hours later, at scheduled time, they still weren't and now the lobby was a madhouse. Food was mediocre, wait staff was mediocre, amenities were mediocre, it was very frustrating. There were also some very loud families who were so rude and disrespectful of other vacationers!

nice place, needs better housekeeping...

Nice job remodeling, aesthetically pleasing environment. Small details missing though. * checked-in and there were no toiletries in bathroom, no guest bathrobes in closet; wanted to take a bath and discovered the bath stopper was missing; called housekeeping three separate times deliver what was supposed to be in the room to begin with :-) * were given a late checkout (3pm) but at 1pm returned to room and key cards didn't work * my friend found a dead cockroach in the bathroom (seriously) We're pretty laid-back, so aside from the minor details, we had a great time. On the plus side, nice pool area. Good on-site restaurant. Next time we're in PS will probably try a different place though...

Loved it!

The hotel is beautiful, our room was huge, and the staff was wonderful! WE especially loved Joe, who served us breakfast on the restaurant patio, he was such a sweetheart... we love you Joe! The food is great by the pool, in the bars and the restaurant. Food is served til 11pm in the bar which was a life saver! The valet and bell staff were really sweet too and took great care of us. Oh, and housekeeping was on top of things! Right when we got there I realized I forgot my toothbrush and called to ask where I could buy one, but they said no need they would send one over to me. My sweet husband called to arrange for a bottle of champagne sent to our room and asked that they deliver it right when my girlfriend and I arrived instead of it sitting in the room- we were in the room for maybe 3 minutes when there was a knock on the door! We will definatley be coming back!

Meh.

We liked the cool, retro design of hotel. However the bathroom was not clean, and the people that worked there acted like they could care less about what they did for work.

Great stay except...

Our stay was overall very good! However at the end of the trip they charge every guest an addition $25 per room under "resort charge". This is if guests use any of the gyms, self park, and any other amenities. You are still charged this even if you don't use any of those services. I think it's a bit sneaky! Other than that rooms were very clean. The food at the pool was delicious! Overall, it's definitely a fun place and atmosphere!
