Song of the Band Saw

Everything was great except for when we went out to the pool around noon on Saturday 7/25 there was LOUD construction including nonstop band saws so loud you could not even have a conversation with the person next to you. I complained to the front desk and was told that I had been notified that there would be construction. I booked this through Orbitz and was NEVER notified about ANY construction. So we had to leave the pool after about 10 minutes. Just too noisy. Couldn't even hear yourself think and just got aggravated. 110 degree temperature and could not use the pool. Thanks Orbitz. Eardrum shattering construction on a Saturday afternoon? Seriously? As far as I am concerned what supposed to be a relaxing getaway was a HUGE waste of money.

A rather old resort

The studios are too small for family. Furnitures are old & out-dated. TV needs to be replaced.

Oldschool Comforts

Great service, secluded and pampered grounds, free bikes, tennis, movies & games, superb location... Besides the smallish family pool (the classy adults-only pool is larger) everything was amazing - and this is coming from an accomplished complainer! We had a one-bedroom with full kitchen and private balcony, and nothing at all was amiss. Oh, and there are numerous free BBQ grills on the grounds. My only concern is encouraging crowds of guests with this glowing review...

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

As long as you don't attempt walking mid-day in the Summer, every type of dining (and shopping) is 2-4 blocks away. We didn't use our car the whole 4 days, and we never ate at the hotel (even though Spencer's does look superb). Bonus: Hamburger Mary's about 6 blocks away serves buffalo, ostrich, antelope, wild boar and kangaroo burgers!

Short Honeymoon Stay

The hotel is not far from Downtown Palm Springs and is very close to Hwy 111. The resort is fairly old, but is well kept. It is very nice for a peaceful or restful stay. The typical person staying there tends to be older, over 50. Great tennis resort with beautiful courts. The resort buts up against a small mountain, so some rooms actually have views of mountain, which could or could not be a good view. Great secluded hot tubs with great views! Check in is at 4:30.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

This resort has convenient access to downtown Palm Springs. It is walkable, but it stretches probably near a mile or two.

Great family getaway

We spent most of our time in the pool with our four-year-old twins, which was exactly what we intended to do. I enjoyed having two separate bedrooms and a full kitchen. These amenities made it quite easy to travel with the boys. Good restaurants were nearby so that we were able to get out for dinners. I definitely would stay here again next year.

Ssssh! Top Secret Getaway!

What a wonderful place. We were lucky to find this hotel through Orbitz. This was our second stay with the Tennis Club, and it proved to be very much the same experience. My only complaint is with the Orbitz booking. Online, the reservation said full kitchen. Depending on which type of room you are booked through Orbitz, you may have a full kitchen or a kitchenette with a convection/microwave oven. Beware! Also, our outdoor patio had garbage and cigarettes when we checked in. With all the space in the unit, keeping it all clean from night to night must be next to impossible. Other than this, the property is well kept and quiet, a much needed place for R&R. The entire unit is well-stocked and prepped for a relaxing stay. Recommended for stays longer than one night.
