great deal!

We arrived in Palm Springs shortly after noon.We were able to check in earlier than the stated 4:00pm time. This was great ... because my toddler's nap time is usually around 2pm. I was worried about having to drive around to keep the a/c on in the car while she slept! (The temp was in the 90s.) The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect! Walking distance to food, shops, casino! No room service available, but again, restaurants were just a short walk away. For the price we paid, it was a great deal! Would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

GREAT LOCATION AND VALUE
VEGASRICK Sep 21, 2009
I was very happy with the Hotel location and the professional staff. The room was clean and quiet. Nice to have mini fridge ... in room, along with coffee maker. The down side was being concerned about my door lock. It failed twice, allowing anyone to just walk into my room. Each fix required a reprogramming of the lock, with me having to be present. The last repair, Engineering replaced the lock batteries. I can understand if the lock fails and you couldn't get in with a key, but it failed twice allowing strangers access to my room. The door handle freely opened. Last, the hairdryer was not working. Shared this info with the desk upon check out. I still would highly recommend this hotel. Just would suggest paying attention to outside room door lock.

Didn't spend much time in the room so I'll have to say if you don't care about the musty smell, you'll be okay! Swimming pool ... is awesome, staff is great, but the pillow cards worry me alittle bit!If you do stay there make sure they change your sheets just cuz they have maid service doesn't mean they change sheets or towels, they just refold everything.

Best Place to Stay in the Area
Marine Mom Aug 16, 2009
While there is no food on this campus, it is located within walking distance of the busiest part of downtown and plenty of ... eating establishments. The rooms were clean and actually exceeded my expectations based on the star rating provided by Orbitz. We chose this resort for my Marine's homecoming from Iraq and it was the perfect place to stay. Not too far from base or other area attractions.

4th of July Fun!
Me Mama Jul 5, 2009
We went for a family weekend to enjoy the holiday. The hotel was in a great location, very close to Downtown Palm Springs. ... We did not drive our car the whole weekend. The staff was accommodating to our requests. The pool was nice, although it was pretty small. It did its job to keep us cool in the 109 degree weather. The room was a little small and the bathroom could use some updating. One strange thing that occurred during our stay was that we had/found three caterpillars crawling around the floor of our room. Although caterpillars are harmless the sight of them did not sit well with our toddler, who was freaked out. When I called the front desk after the sighting and removal of the third caterpillar I was told this is a common thing up in the front desk and throughout Palm Springs. I was reassured that they are "harmless." DUH I know that, but after three of these crawling creatures I was a little feed up! I was offered another room if we wanted to move, but we were going to leave in the morning so we passed on the offer. Other than that our stay was good. The price was right for the stay.

I was in and out quickly and enjoyed my stay. Size of room was perfect. Bathroom was really nice and had a nice area with ... counter space where they had the microwave and coffee maker and mini-fridge underneath. Great location in the down town of Palm Springs half block from Starbucks and Coffee Bean, California Pizza Kitchen etc. A mile from the airport! Nothing but a few houses and the desert hills behind the hotel. Very nice place.

good location - not so good room
Teresa s.s May 7, 2009
Accommodations were below average in some areas. The location was great - just off the main street and close to the ... convention center. The rooms were clean, but very old and worn. Picture were missing from the wall and the bathroom was in need of some repair. The bedside lights did not work on one side, and the shower head was so high that I had to stand on the side of the tub to adjust it. (That could be safety issue for other short people.) The help was friendly. The front desk personnel were friendly, they made changes for us, but for the cost I thought the rooms should have been in better condition.

This property was perfectly located. The pool was fabulous and the staff was accomodating. I had some problems with the room, ... a head board that actually fell down, but they fixed it, when it came time to settle the bill. I would recommend it for someone who wants a cheap, clean place to stay. But if you are looking for luxury look elsewhere.

Palm Mountain Resort and Spa was placed in the heart of Palm Springs. All of the places were in walking distance from the ... hotel. The only real problem I had with the stay was that the beds need to be changed. The one I slept on was lopsided and leaning more on one side, and also I noticed as we were leaving, there was a cockroach in the room. Other than that the room was spacious and the area was quiet at night.

The Palm Mountain Resort and Spa was certainly a pleasurable end to my trip. The room was clean and comfortable and ... decorated nicely. The location was perfect - close to the airport and also within walking distance to the shopping area. I would definately stay there again whenever I was in the Palm Springs area. My only regret was that I did not have enough time to take advantage of the Spa.

There are many fine restaurants a short walk from the hotel, including L.G.'s steakhouse.
