Not a quiet getaway...

Pros: Very clean throughout. Cons: Bummer, I had always thought that the Marriott chain stood for quality and comfort. This is a poorly designed and cheaply built community. Loud. Obviously there's no insulation between rooms, so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. The bedrooms are in the back of the rooms on the breezeway, so you hear (and feel) people walking up and down the hallway, and our room actually shook each time the elevator was called. The hotel didn't bother to tell us that there was construction going on within our building and we were awoken Saturday and Sunday morning by workmen at 7:30am. When we called to request a later checkout (which is at 10am btw) they were unsympathetic at the desk and allowed us an extra hour to get our things together and checkout. Needless to say, I will not be visiting again, would not recommend to friends and would DEFINITELY not recommend purchasing a timeshare with Marriott.

Ok Resort and Overpriced

The bad I consider myself a good navigator. Finding our building in the enclaves was very difficult due to the lack of adequate signs! No breakfast or even a place with breakfast on premises is plain ridiculous! The Good Nicely finished Bathroom and generous size room overall. Covered parking which one really needs in Palm Springs. Pool bars are convenient and staff is good.

nice family vacation

The property is very nice and staff is very friendly. We went with a family of 4 and the kids love the pools with the water slide and small water features. We stayed in the Enclave portion of the property. There is construction in that area so its a bit noisy in the morning. We stayed in a guest room not the time share condos. The room was comfortable but a little cramped for us. We will stay in the 1 bedroom condos next time. The property is within a couple of miles to Wal-mart and Costco and several restaurants. All in all this a great place to take the family.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Costco and Walmart are close so you can buy food for the room and save money instead of eating out.

Great weekend for the family

We checked in about 3 hours prior to the online check in time, our room was clean and ready to go. The staff from the front desk to the pool staff were great, very friendly. We have three children who absolutely loved the various pools, slide and activities center. Very well done, we will definitely be back!

NEVER STAY HERE!

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Rooms were not bad, nice and big and had a full kitchen, but there was absolutely 0 service. I stayed there for Coachella and didn't expect anything extravagant but I did not expect the lack or service or effort from the staff there. First off, the place is absolutely massive; it feels bigger than Disneyland. Furthermore, our room was almost a mile and a half from the front desk. Staff was horrible. We checked in almost 2 hours after our scheduled check in time. And further more we asked if there was a late checkout available. We got a 12:30 check out and asked if we could extend it. They said we could either book for another night which would have been almost a $1000 so I opted just to extend the room until 4:30 at $50 an hour. We spoke to the front desk manager, which in turn talked to the general manager of the property and said that was fine. On Sunday morning at about 11:30AM the front desk called our room and proceeded to say that we had to be out of the room at 12:30 when the day before they said it was okay to extend. They were so disorganized and finally threatened to send security to escort us out. It would have been one thing if we were aware that we had to be out of the room at 12:30 because we would have had to start packing earlier, but instead becuase of there disorganized staff they forced us to pack up in such a hurry I lost my car keys in the room. The staff was horrible, the room was so so, and the layout of the property was horrendous. I will never stay here again. Do not recommend.

Perfect spot to relax

One of the reasons I come to the desert. This resort is so relaxing. There were a lot of people at the pool this weekend but I still got to unwind and enjoy myself. No one tries to bother you or upsell you. The concierge is helpful and there are so many activities. Not to mention the rooms are beautiful and more modern than the villages. Felt like I was at home

The Enclaves Rooms Too Small!

Most Marriotts in this area have adequate room space and terraces positioned for privacy. The Enclaves do not have either! The Enclave rooms are WAY too small! The room was so small it was difficult for two people to walk around in it. If you were to fold out the fold out couch, there is NO room at all. There were not enough parking spaces for occupants to park at night. The air conditioner was way too big and loud to run in the room and created uncomfortable wind gusts in the room. Our Only window was in such a spot that it looked right onto another room's terrace and sucked in all the voices from that room as if it were ours. The walls were so thin that every noise came through and made sleeping normal hours very difficult. We have stayed at the Shadow Ridge many times in their other buildings, in beautiful rooms - for the same price or less- and Loved our stay. We Will NOT stay at The Enclaves again! The location of these buildings to the entrance/exit was way too far, even when driving!
