Vagabond Inn Oxnard

[...] The pool was closed and looked under construction.I would recommend this hotel, but they do need to get their act together and be truthful about the current state of the amenities.

We stayed there just for one night, before heading to Santa Cruz Island out of Ventura Harbor the next morning. The room was newly remodeled, and except for one sticky spot on the carpet (what IS that??), the room was nice and clean. However the walls were thin, and we were awakened by partyer's in the adjoining rooms. Not much of a continental breakfast - just coffee, vending machine style danishes, and oranges. But Denny's was right next door, so we got our morning bagels there.

The hotel was well maintained and the girl working the front desk was very kind and helpful. They are Dog Friendly and that makes a huge difference. The location is great, being right off of the main street in Oxnard and being walking distance to Downtown and to good shopping. The room was a bit small, but adequate for a couple and a dog. We will likely be staying there again.

Although the hotel was great, it was off the bus-line which made it a little more difficult to get around without a car. There was noisy traffic from the early morning breakfast clients at the attached Denny's Resturant. The carpet was filthy, and the pool could have been skimmed more often. But on the whole, if I had a car, I would definitely stay there again.

It was not a bad stay except that I had noisy neighbors. The room was clean and not bad for an older motel. The lobby employees were courteous as well.

didnt seem like a good location

When we first walked in we could smell a odor. As we walked in are shoes were sicking to the floor. The floors were so dirty that are white socks turned black form the carpet. If we could we would of gone some plaece else but all the hotel were booked up for that weak??

The stairs leading to the room were filthy, and pretty disgusting. The room smelled bad and was much smaller than expected. It was not a friendly place to stay and the area wasn't great.

This was a quick overnight stay as we needed to be in Santa Barbara the next day. The price was reasonable and the hotel itself...while older, fit our needs. The continental breakfast was sufficient and if you find that to be not enough food there is a Denny's in the parking lot. I would stay there again

Hello, I liked the stay at the Vagabond Inn in Oxnard Calif. It was clean,comfortable and a great value for the price.It had all the conforts plus more. Coffee maker, microwave and an iron. Count me in for a return trip.
